I am still thinking about my lunch here nearly 3 weeks later. My husband and I each got the weekday large lunch nigiri. I have Celiac disease and was well taken care of. I showed the waitress and the sushi chefs my gluten free translation card and they immediately knew what I could and could not have. They swapped out a few pieces of the nigiri that were not gf as well as some of the maki. They also brought out gf soup and tamari for me. Some of the best nigiri I’ve ever had for sure. Only issue was I had hoped to make a reservation ahead of time- had issues with the website and the lady answering the phone couldn’t speak English. Just get there close to when they start serving lunch at 11:30. Highly recommend!

Some of the BEST sushi I had in Japan and probably ever. We went for the lunch special (great price). I got the 10 piece nigiri set and they substituted some nigiri out for me for gf options!! Seriously so good. They also had gf soy sauce! Very cute restaurant too.

Very pleasant and quiet atmosphere, they are very well prepared about gluten free and there are several options. We went there for the omakase and it was very delicious (it is an experience that you have to try during your trip in Japan and it is not so simple to find gluten free options). A bit expensive compared to other options you can have in Japan but it was totally worth it!!!

Incredible sushi experience. This was my first time being able to have the chef led sushi experience at the counter. The sushi chef spoke English and guided us through the many course omakase. The chef definitely knew what I couldn’t eat (the fish roe, for example) and always switched out my piece of nigiri for something else. However, there is definitely cross contamination from soy sauce on his hands touching my pieces of fish/rice, so I ate the enzyme Gliadin X (I order them off Amazon in the US) with each course. I am writing this review the next day and I am happy to report I did not get sick.

The food and service were excellent. One of the chefs speaks English and checked in with me several times during the meal to verify that I could eat all of the foods in each course. The chef excluded crab and eel because those were prepared in wheat/soy sauce, and substituted them for other types of fish.
I highly recommend this restaurant!

Understood my needs and explained what I could eat. One of the chefs was super good at English and took our order. I got gluten-free soy sauce to the delicious sushi. A little bit pricey, but for that quality sushi would I recommend it.
