Celiac disease family. We came here excited to learn that the chocolate thunder brownie was always gluten free. However, when we tried lunch items off of the dedicated gluten free, it became clear within an hour of eating that we had been gluten-ed here. The staff seems knowledgeable and it was encouraging to see a gluten free menu but that didn’t save us. Will not be eating here again.
Have always had good luck with GF Steak, Salmon, and Chicken with Veggies. Plus the famous Chocolate thunder from down under brownie is GF.
While the gluten free menu was impressive our server knew nothing about gluten free. She brought out moldy grapes (literally black and fuzzy) to my children. I brought it to the attention of another waitress as well as her and she responded with, "yeah it was the bottom of the bag". Thank goodness I had cut them or my kids would have eaten them. No manager ever came over to apologize nor did the waitress. As a long time lover of Outback, the quality of the cook on my steak was diner quality at best. My husband who did not order gluten free was very disappointed with his food as well. Very disappointing and will not be returning.
I found the waitress to be knowledgeable about the gluten free items on their specific gluten free menu. I asked about the fries and she nicely advised me against ordering them because of cross contamination because they use the same oil and gluten items. I was impressed.
This restaurant had a gluten free menu. I had the Cobb salad and enjoyed it.
Outback steak house has its own gluten free menu that includes salmon, steak, lobster, chicken, salads (and what dressings you can have), etc. But to top off all of the great food that's gluten free the Thunder From Down Under dessert is gluten free as well! It's a huge brownie topped with ice cream then whipped cream then chocolate sauce! 5 stars for outback!
I go to this Outback often. They have a gluten-free menu. Wait staff are very friendly and helpful. They have the best gluten-free dessert called "Tunder from Down Under"! I don't think they have a dedicated fryer for fries but there are other sides that are good. I highly recommend. You need to ask for the gluten-free menu.
5 of us are here and 2 have celiac disease. The people with cd ordered chicken on the barbie with broccoli and a baked potato, and a sirloin steak with a salad and baked potato. They have a separate menu and the waiter was fantastic. He knew about celiac and was knowledgeable about what we could eat & notifying the kitchen to change gloves. Nobody got sit and the food was delicious. I would come back and I would recommend this restaurant
