I've never gotten sick here or at any outback location. The food is fantastic. I will say that sometimes this particular location seems to make mistakes with orders which I haven't seen elsewhere. So far they have not made a mistake with any of my food though but it happens consistently for other members of my family. The service also leaves something to be desired. Be sure to specify you're ordering from the gluten-free menu. I feel confident eating here as far as GF precautions
While we always let the waiter know that we are ordering for someone with celiac/allergy, I do not know what precautions they take in the kitchen. However we have eaten at this location twice now with zero issues and both times our waitress seemed knowledgeable on gluten free offerings. My daughter and husband who both have celiac always get a steak, baked potato, and steamed broccoli.
While Outback is known for being celiac friendly, this particular restaurant doesn't live up to its counterparts. Waitstaff was rude and flippant about my celiac condition. Against my better judgment, I trusted my past experiences with other Outback stores. In the end I was sick after just a few bites. I sent the food back and asked to speak to the manager. Not only did he not apologize or seem to care but he didn't even take my meal off the bill. This store gives Outback a bad name for an otherwise celiac friendly business.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was a gluten free menu which clearly marked what was safe for me to eat. I was also excited about the gluten free chocolate brownie dessert and it did not disappoint. Service was great, but most of the food had way too much butter and was soggy.
