Ask for a gluten free menu and order as an allergy. They have a training team that has trained the staff to handle all gluten free items as allergies. They wash hands, change gloves, use clean equipment and utensils etc.
Your food usually comes out either by your specific waiter or a kitchen staff as soon as it is done to minimise risk.
The food is obviously a little limited. But they have brownie for dessert!
Great service and food and atmosphere. When I told the waiter I had celiac, he totally understood and got me a separate menu listing the many GF options. I had grilled chicken and a salad and baked potato and no symptoms. They even have a GF brownie, which we will definitely save room for next time. Great family atmosphere and kids’ menu options too.
Was hesitant at first. When we got there we asked The hostess if their gluten free menu was celiac friendly. She immediately got the manager and he walked me through their whole process. Our waiter was also extremely knowledgeable and carful with my food. The food was excellent the manager even threw in Their GF brownie for dessert for free. Not sure if every outback is this carful but this one is for sure! This celiac will be back.
Very accommodating with allergies just need to let the server know or get a manager to let them know and they will discuss with the cook. They have a GF menu.
I have celiac and I'm very sensitive to cross contamination. As long as you communicate, they are very safe. I've eaten here many times and have never been sick!I highly recommend the Alice Springs chicken. I've also had lobster, Grilled shrimp, house salad, salmon, and many steaks. It's my go to in any state.
Decided to come here based on other positive reviews. They have a separate GF menu, you just need to ask. It has a ton of options on there and lists out any necessary modifications that need to be made. I ordered the lunch center cut sirloin with asparagus as my side. No reaction afterwards
