OWL Rafting

We chose Owl over other Ottawa River rafting resorts in part based on online reviews mentioning GF meals, and they surpassed expectations. It probably helped that at the time of my visit they also had a celiac staff member (summer ‘23). Majority of the meals are inherently GF: grilled chicken & meats, veg & potatoes, most salads, etc… For breakfast there was a dedicated area with GF bread, labeled GF toaster, butter, jam, peanut butter, as well as separate bacon upon request (the regular bacon was on English muffins in the serving tray). Soft & yummy GF chocolate chip cookies, that seemed to be homemade. Make sure you let them know of GF status before you arrive. Some staff are more knowledgeable than others, but all were happy to check with the kitchen to confirm what is GF safe. The raft guides were also fun & professional. Overall a great experience.

Not only was the trip fantastic with great guides but they offered gf upon request! I’m sure the meals change depending on the day but they offered gf rolls for sausage, gluten free snacks while rafting, and even gf chocolate chip cookie bars DEFINITELY SCHEDULE FOR THIS IN ADVANCE
