Pacific Umi Sushi

The hostess was unfamiliar if they could accommodate celiac/allergy prep but she along with the waitress did a great job of confirming details with the kitchen staff. The menu is not clearly marked and there are many fried rolls so I did need a good amount of assistance in figuring out what I could have. The waitress was very kind and mentioned that even if something was not gluten free that in the future I could always come and talk to them and they could work with me on how to make different items adjusted for me. They also offered gluten free soy sauce which is always a win for me!

Umi's is a hidden little gem in Grover Beach. I've been twice now and had separate wait staff, both were very knowledgeable and helpful about gluten free options on the menu and making appropriate substitutions. The food was fresh and yummy, I crave it now! Definitely recommend!

They were very accommodating to a GF diet and can convert most things on the menu to GF. They even have Tamari GF soy sauce upon request! Food was very good & fresh!
