Seemed pretty knowledgeable about gf (but could have been better). When I went they had a limited menu, but I was able to order the gf pasta Alfredo and it was delicious! They did include bread on my to go order (in a separate area of the container, so no CC) but I assumed it wasn't gf bread and that seemed like a silly oversight since I was ordering with so many precautions. However, yummy options and super friendly staff. I'd go back to try the pizza!

First time eating at Paesano’s. They have gluten free pasta and pizza options. Tried the Sicilian pizza and it was the closest I’ve come to a glutenous pizza in years. I didn’t experience any problems (celiac) so I feel safe eating here again.

So tasty!! They had a separate menu for all things they could make gluten free (gf pizza crust and a gf pasta) and my husband and I shared a pizza and a pasta. They were delicious and had no issues! Loved the music and our server was great too!

lots of options, but make sure you let them know you are celiac and not just sensitive. polenta fries are not safe unless you tell the wait staff specifically. Zuppa and Italian chop are pretty safe options

They were out of GF crusts which was disappointing. They have a GF menu and a lot of options.

I love this place. Delicious food, but beware! They do not have dedicated fryers, so while they offer GF polenta fries they are certain to be cross-contaminated.

I have loved Paesanos for years and would give 4 or 5 stars for their regular menu. However, their GF pizza is the worst I have had (and I have tried at least a dozen). The sauce and toppings are fine, but the crust is awful like cardboard. I couldn't force myself to finish it. Truly,it's bad compared to ANY other GF pizza in Sac or SF. Also, the GF gemelli spinaci advertised is misleading as they do not have GF gemelli! Instead they serve undercooked GF penne. Great restaurant, quite poor GF menu.

I love Paesanos. They try real hard for the Celiacs. However be warned, they do make GF Calamai but they do not have a dedicated fryer. If you are truly sensitive that is a pretty big cross contamination. Join us and start requesting for them to buy a separate fryer! Enough of us ask and they'll take action!! Also they do not make GF salad dressings (all they have to is use rice, wine or apple cider vinegars) or use Tamari. Join us and bug them!! Together we can make a good place great for Celiacs!!!!

The waitress was knowledgeable with gluten free items and they had a gluten-free menu. I enjoyed the carbonara and they had gluten free bread to go with it which is a rarity for me. The only negative thing I have to say is that it could have used a little more sauce to help with the dryness of the gf noodles and bread. I would definitely eat here again though!

The waitress was able to answer my questions about if things have gluten. Since I can get pizza at a lot of places I opted for the gluten free grilled chicken sandwich with tomato basil soup and gluten free bruschetta.

The bruschetta was toasted nicely and the tomatoes were so fresh.

The tomato basil soup was so thick and yummy. The sandwich has chunks of chicken not flimsy slices. It was also so good, and extra good when I dipped it in the soup.

I'm not Celiacs bit instead intolerant, so I'm usually okay if there's minute cross contamination, but if there's actual gluten in my food it will make me feel ill, if not that day the next couple.

I felt fine after eating there's. I would go back again.

Pasta and bread passed Nima test (no gluten). 2 pizzas did not pass Nima test (gluten found). Great service and experience otherwise. They did not charge us for pizzas and gave us vouchers for next visit. Clearly something wrong with their protocols with pizza prep. If you have celiac, bring a tester or avoid this place.

Offers a "Gluten Intolerant" menu. The GF pasta is only spaghetti and is used in all the pasta dishes. The pasta dishescome with a side of toasted GF bread, but i forgot to ask if it was from a shared toaster. For appetizers, I've tried the calamari fritti (my favorite) and haven't had any issues. I was told they only use gluten free flour for the calamari, but it does state on the menu that it is "prepared in common fryer oil." The fried ravioli and bocce balls on the regular menu are likely sharing the same fryer oil. I have not tried the GF pizza or sandwiches yet, but they are offered on the GF menu too. The dessert menu is limited - only GF options are ice cream or gelato.

When ordering, be sure to specify that the dish needs to be gluten free. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions.

If you have kids, they may bring out a small ball of dough for the kids to play with while waiting for the meals. It is made with wheat flour, so not safe for kids who are gluten free.

Overall, I had a great experience and the food was delicious.
