Palace Chinese Restaurant

There is a definite language barrier. The lady who took our order brought a gf menu, and said I should only order from there. She also brought out gf soy sauce.

I ordered from the GF menu, then was told that one dish was not available so I ordered a replacement.

The 'unavailable' dish turned up anyway ,then the server poured soy sauce over it before I could stop her. There was a bit of an argument between servers, then the offending dish was taken away. I felt bad, and still don't know what went wrong.

The food was good. The spicy dumplings and dim sims were my highlights.

If you're with a group that wants yum cha in the city, you can have a safe meal here. You will get food envy from the trolley food though 😔

A dedicated gluten free dim sum menu. Moderately knowledgeable about coeliac. Tasty dumplings!
