Review of Palm Plaza Café

Casual restaurant in the Jacksonville zoo that has a dedicated fryer with three types of gluten-free fries (classic, chopped cheeseburger and chimi, see menu pic). Not many items. But the plain fries are a plus. Beverages including wine. We loved the plain fries. Asked a few times and they say the fryer for fries is physically separate, no shared oil, from the fryer for wheat items. Still, when you look at it, there are a lot of people with gloves on placing items already prepared to be sold under the heat lamp, lots of gloves, lots of plates, it’s a good idea to ask them to put on new gloves before grabbing your so far untouched cooked fries, and we only stuck with plain fries, not the ones with extra stuff on it, to be safe. Nice outdoor seating area and they also have indoor seating for bad weather. Pleasant place.
