They had a special menu for gluten free; and the food was super delicious! So happy to enjoy an Amsterdam tradition even though I must eat gluten-free!!

Pancakes Amsterdam is a good place to get gluten-free and vegetarian / vegan food. It offers an extra menu for those who want a gluten-free option, which makes eating there very easy!! However everything gluten free coast 2€ more then the „normal“ option, which is already a little bit pricey.

I was so happy to find this recommendation on this app! I really wanted to try the Dutch pancakes while in the Netherlands! This place is amazing! I got the lemon & sugar pancake ( we call the crepes). It tasted like homemade lemon bread! The staff is very knowledgeable and all the gf crepes come out with a little Netherlands flag to guarantee GF!

Excellent gluten free pancakes. Nearly all the Dutch pancakes can be gluten free and come clearly labelled with Dutch flag. Multiple locations across Amsterdam. Can get busy but it turns over pretty quickly and staff were excellent. Also tried Dutch Pancake Masters which does gf pancakes and these pancakes are much better.

Totally worth the wait in line and the hype. Everything was delicious. We split a cheese and bacon pancake and the goat cheese, spinach, garlic oil, and seeds pancake and they were seriously tasty. Also very filling!
Their website does warn you that they do everything they can, but there is a chance of cross contamination. I’m quite sensitive and did not have any issues.

We were so excited after seeing all the good reviews about this place. We informed our server about our gluten free needs and ordered off the green menu. We ordered a lemon Dutch pancake. We understood there could be cross contamination but we decided to NIMA test just in case. Nima showed gluten found and by looking at the third line it was very dark, meaning actual gluten not just cross contamination. We would not recommend here for gluten free and especially not for people with celiac disease.

Long wait into building (about an hour an half). After we got in and ordered it was about 15 minute wait for the food. The food was pretty good, it was like a thick crepe.

Great little place for Dutch pancake. Both sweet and savory are good. Separate gluten free menu with many offerings. I opted for the apple and cheese! Service was good. GF pancakes come from the kitchen flagged, literally, with a little Dutch flag! One other reviewer mentioned them only having a few pans to cook with and unknown if they have a separate pan for allergen orders or not. I had no gluten-related issues.

Was a little nervous about eating here but was so glad I did! I asked to see the separate gluten free menu which also gave options for lactose free and vegan. The menu stated that all gluten free meals come out with a Dutch flag to mark it gluten free. I got a build your own pancake which was delicious. Would definitely return.

Excellent food!!! A little bit of a wait during peak hours on a sunny Saturday, but worth the wait.
Separate GF menu with lots of options. I got Dutch pancakes with chocolate, banana, and almond. GF (also dairy free and vegan) flour is mixed by the restaurant in a separate dedicated facility, and food is delivered with a Netherlands flag to show it is the GF meal.
Facility though is not dedicated GF.

The gluten-free menu now says that "eating at Pancakes is not recommended for coeliacs". It clearly outlines the cross-contamination measures which are taken, but some coeliacs may now want to avoid (I think this is new, having been there many times before).

The Dutch pancakes were very tasty and filling. I ordered the ham and cheese pancake. There is a gluten free menu. It is a busy place, so we had to wait to be served, but it was not a problem for us. There is a risk of cross contamination, but precautions are taken and I did not get sick.

Took 45 minutes to bring out 2 pancakes, and when mine came out it had a hair in it. Aside from the bad service, the pancakes were good, but fairly greasy and expensive. Expect to pay $20 for one dutch pancake if you want any toppings. Our waitress did end up comping my pancake and making me a new one, but i was late for my tour since I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the next pancake to come out.
