Pane Rustica

My original review was posted about a year ago and is below, however I felt obligated to my GF community to post newer information. The last two visits were pretty bad from a safety standard. One dish was delivered to me AND I took a few bites before the waiter came back and grabbed the plate away and said I was given the wrong order. Not even an apology or visit from the manager. We were with friends and I didn't want to cause a scene so I expressed my stunned disappointment but didn't talk to the manager.

Then a week later, we returned and I quickly explained to our current waiter what happened previously and can they please be careful with my order. He assured me but then my burger on a bed of lettuce arrived with battered and fried string onion rings on top of my burger. They took the burger away and brought it right back so they must have just tossed the onion rings and gave me the same burger. I called our waiter over to share my anxiety and disappointment. He was very apologetic and brought me a fresh burger. I inquired about their back of the house process and there appears to be many places where communication can break down. Their food is so good so this is SUPER disappointing!! But

While this restaurant doesn't have a separate gluten free menu, we have eaten here several times and every server we've had has been very GF knowledgeable and helpful in navigating through the appropriate menu choices. I've had the scallops, burgers, and a few lunch specials without problems. Food is always good here.

The manager was less than willing to help. They said an item was gluten free but it wasn't - I immediately got sick. The food is fantastic- but not GF friendly!!!
