This place made me very sick after. It is owned by a celiac and yet their staff can’t figure out how to distinguish what’s gluten free. Save your money and your night by going anywhere else.

DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered eggplant parm and mentioned my severe allergy. They brought it out with a sticker on the plate and said “gluten free eggplant parm”. Well three bites in they came running over to tell me that it was in fact not gluten free and they would remake it for me. Of course I didn’t eat it. I already feel like garbage.

The variety and quantity of GF items on this menu is astonishing! It felt amazing to be able to have so many choices and to not worry about whether it would be celiac-friendly. The staff were friendly and made me feel confident I would be safe there. However, the prices are outrageous and I was honestly underwhelmed by the food. It was very mediocre and I’m not sure the GF-friendliness is worth the price. Definitely recommend to try at least once but I can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon.

While they do have non-gf options, the owner and his daughter are both celiac, and their legal, dedicated certified gluten-free certification is framed and hanging on the wall in the establishment.
The baked clams were a dream come true. All of the GF food was delicious. The staff were wonderful. highly recommend.

Papazzio has an extensive gluten free menu. Most dishes can be made with gluten free spaghetti or rigatoni. The menu is clearly marked and the staff is very knowledgeable. Gluten free crackers and hummus are complementary too. I did feel that the food is overpriced - up-charge of $4.50 for gluten free is ridiculous in my opinion and I feel that I’ve had better Italian food for the price.

Dedicated gluten free area. So much of their menu can be made gf and the plates are marked coming out of the kitchen. It was so nice to not worry when eating out.

Forever grateful for papazizzo. They have a wide selection of gluten free options to choose from. Dominic the owner also has celiacs so he knows the risk of cross contamination.

Tonight I ate dinner at Papazzios in Bayside. First time eating out since I’ve moved back here last year because I’m nervous about contamination. It was delicious!! Everything I got was vegan AND gluten free. They give schar breadsticks (if you’re vegan you can have the regular bread, but my celiac self was thrilled) and they give bean dip as a starter at the table. Then I got pasta primavera. For us gluten free people, the owners daughter has celiac and everything is prepped separately and safely.they even bring the food out in a separate hand and at a separate time. Their pasta is corn and rice based so it’s vegan- yay! Was delicious and the waiter was INCREDIBLE! So nice and funny. My family loved it, too! Darius- you’re the best!!!

The staff was so knowledgeable about the gluten free diet and the menu had so many choices! Most of the dishes are marked gluten free or can be made that way. There are gluten free breadsticks served in lieu of bread so we could enjoy the homemade white bean dip. My husband ordered the gluten free chicken parm and I ordered the gluten free clams vongole. Both dishes were excellent! For dessert we were pleased to see just as many choices! We chose the gluten free Oreo mousse cake a la mode. It was amazing! We will definitely be back!

We have eaten here several times and are always confident that the meals will be prepared safely. The food is delicious and the staff is well educated in GF protocol. I knew the owner's daughter has Celiac, but learned here that the owner himself does too. I'm glad to find a reliable place to accommodate us for a night out!

Delicious pasta, and they have stickers to mark the gluten-free plates. The wait staff was very kind too! Sounds like they have gf bread normally, but they were out the day I was there.

I had a GF cannoli for the first time in years. My husband raved Tiramisu was the BEST he has ever had! Staff was attentive and courteous-can’t say enough good things. Extremely celiac friendly & great food. Almost the entire menu can be made gluten free and they are very careful about cross contamination. I’ve been here a few times and love it. I had fried calamari and couldn’t tell it was GF at all. Pasta was great, too. Owner and staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous GF Italian! I love the penne a la vodka and the shrimp scampi risotto. The owner’s daughter is celiac so they really get it. They have separate ovens/cooking areas and put a sticker on gf plates.

I ordered a fried calarmari and a penne al vodka to go... the calamari was literally drenched in oil and the vodka was super bland and watery. I didn’t get sick and the woman who took my order was super nice.... I’m super sensitive to cross contamination so I’m not feeling my best...
This place was excellent. Delicious. Due to my celiacs I have been to many places all over Long Island and the city. This place is among the best if not the best. Atmosphere was great and I felt safe. Dedicated cooking area and pots. Owner was very friendly and informed. High recommended.
Food was amazing. Even labeled with a sticker to signify gluten free. Had eggplant Parmesan and my first cannoli in years!!

This was by far our most favorite Italian GF restaurant! Lovely ambiance, felt pampered. Fantastic selection of GF pasta, chicken, seafood. Topped off with homemade GF cheesecake. Great care taken to prevent cross contamination, GF plates labeled clearly. Everyone should eat here! Also quite reasonably priced. Extreme precautions taken to prevent cross contamination. Great job!

A dream come true for celiacs! Extensive GF menu with all of the things you crave (but typically can’t have!) Menu includes GF veal parmigiana, GF ravioli, GF fried mozzarella, GF breadsticks, GF desserts, etc. Beyond the food, service was great, very personable bartenders, live music the night I was there, and there’s even valet parking right in front. I’ll definitely be back!

What an amazing meal!!!! Visited from out of state and saw the reviews. I also called ahead to talk to the restaurant. They have a separate space for GF meals. They also are certified by the Gluten Intolerance Association. The service and food was amazing! Highly recommend.
