I ordered a fried calarmari and a penne al vodka to go... the calamari was literally drenched in oil and the vodka was super bland and watery. I didn’t get sick and the woman who took my order was super nice.... I’m super sensitive to cross contamination so I’m not feeling my best...
This place was excellent. Delicious. Due to my celiacs I have been to many places all over Long Island and the city. This place is among the best if not the best. Atmosphere was great and I felt safe. Dedicated cooking area and pots. Owner was very friendly and informed. High recommended.
This was by far our most favorite Italian GF restaurant! Lovely ambiance, felt pampered. Fantastic selection of GF pasta, chicken, seafood. Topped off with homemade GF cheesecake. Great care taken to prevent cross contamination, GF plates labeled clearly. Everyone should eat here! Also quite reasonably priced. Extreme precautions taken to prevent cross contamination. Great job!
A dream come true for celiacs! Extensive GF menu with all of the things you crave (but typically can’t have!) Menu includes GF veal parmigiana, GF ravioli, GF fried mozzarella, GF breadsticks, GF desserts, etc. Beyond the food, service was great, very personable bartenders, live music the night I was there, and there’s even valet parking right in front. I’ll definitely be back!
What an amazing meal!!!! Visited from out of state and saw the reviews. I also called ahead to talk to the restaurant. They have a separate space for GF meals. They also are certified by the Gluten Intolerance Association. The service and food was amazing! Highly recommend.
Went recently - Not sure if new owners but no more gluten free bread basket Instead got broken breadsticks in a cellophane bag No butter - hummus in a little bowl in an Italian restaurant. Got gluten free fried mozzarella Was 2 thick round breaded circles that were not melted & cold Ordered gluten free linguini alfredo Only had gluten free penne or spaghetti I got the spaghetti It was very yellow- like a butter sauce Not bad but not alfredo Gluten free plates had an orange sticker circle to mark them which was great Leftovers were also well packaged & marked w orange circle. I did not get sick but not sure I will go back
Food here is excellent as is the service. The best part is that they have gluten free on their menu for my celiac wife. They mark the dishes with a yellow dot when they come out. It helps to know that the kitchen was aware. They have a separate area in the kitchen for gluten free food prep so my wife feels safe. Spoke to the owners last time and they told us their daughter has celiac so they understand.
Have safely eaten here 3+ times even though I'm a Celiac who is very sensitive to cross contamination. GIG certified, they have dedicated GF kitchen space. Will return many more times without worry since GF meals are served with yellow stickers to label plates. Besides, who can turn down a GF cannoli?!
Tried this restaurant after finding it on findmeglutenfree. Was greeted by the owner when I arrived. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Owner explained that his daughter is celiac and that's why he provides such an extensive gluten free menu. He went into detail about how they prevent cross contamination and was very considerate. Will visit again!
Love this place! Almost the entire menu can be made gluten free & they are excellent at avoiding cross contamination. They even put a sticker dot on the side of your plate so you are reassured it's gluten free. I've eaten there a bunch of times and never been glutenized. And the food is delicious! It's so nice to feel like a normal person and be able to eat almost anything on the menu again!
