Have been a couple of times since being diagnosed. The first time the server was very knowledgeable and steered me away from dishes that had ‘hidden’ gluten. The second time the menu had improved with clearer allergy descriptions. The food is reliably good.

Ordered fries that said on the menu GF. After eating them I noticed the table next to us had completely different looking fries. Queried it and was told ours weren't GF. I Explained this will make me ill. I ordered dessert and asked for GF option, it came w a biscuit. I asked if it was GF and again was told it wasn't. When I left I said to the staff this will make me ill but I'm more concerned that a coeliac will be very ill. They basically said "oh well". No concern or care. So don't go there. The manager, chef and two waiting staff. They all knew and really had no interest.

Came for dinner and main was fine but when I asked if ice cream was GF as I was coeliac the waiter said it was and came with an oat biscuit base. When I said oats weren’t GF he assured me their oats were and when I said they can’t legally be called GF in NZ he said to trust him. I asked for it to be left off and when it came out for all three people (with me being the only coeliac) none had the crumb. Found this concerning but did not have a reaction. This was a few months ago so may have improved since.
