Parlor Doughnuts

It was such a cute shop and so fun to get an actual gluten free doughnut!! They have an actual gf menu that you just need to ask for. They have 1 type of doughnut flavor but a variety of glaze flavors. Sandy beach and blueberry were the best ones. The staff is very knowledgeable about everything so that’s very helpful. The only thing is the doughnuts were too cakey. They tasted okay but I’ve certainly tasted better. It was a fun experience tho, I’m was pleased

Celiacs- curb your enthusiasm when you walk in. You will see these massive sugar bombs of donuts. You will get to the counter and get a menu with a list of GF creations they can make for you in the back. Same names as the regular in the case. You’ll pay more but not ridiculously so. You’ll wait 5 minutes or more and get this cute box (suspiciously small for the number of donuts you ordered). I don’t expect GF donuts to look the same, but I had to laugh. I really do appreciate the effort but come on. They don’t even apply the toppings the same as the regular donuts.

They taste like the safe to eat raw GF cookie dough. They’re cold like cookie dough. Maybe that’s what they are.

If you’re going with friends and family and don’t want to be left out , ok. But don’t recommend going out of your way for these. There are better GF donuts in SD.

I was really looking forward to trying these donuts as this donut company has some solid reviews. However, If you are gluten-free (GF), I would recommend skipping this place, I do not recommend their gluten-free donuts and here is why. The GF donut: overall this donut is beautiful looking. They start with the base GF donut and you can customize it with a large list of options. This is where I got hooked…how bad can it be? When you order they prepare it in the back room for you, and the glaze makes this look beautiful. Taste and texture: This is where this GF donut misses the mark, texture was very crumbly, and the donut was a dense, gritty, crumbly texture. The taste wasn’t that great either - it almost tasted like it was not cooked but formed together in donut shape. I ordered two, and ended up tossing one of them. I hope that one day their GF donut gets better.

We did not like these donuts. I finish everything. But we threw these out.

My husband had their amazing normal doughnuts. I being gluten free ordered one. I was so sad to see it was just a plain one covered in sticky frosting. It wasn’t exciting at all for $6. I wish they would make their gluten free to be like their original ones.

Donut was….okay. Dense and had a weird flavor. Was hoping I’d get the toppings the regular ones get but it was just glaze.

It’s great they have GF options, not the best because it is a dense cake like doughnut, but it still satisfies the sweet craving. My favorite is the chocolate chocolate.

Tons of GF options! Ask for a separate menu to order. Most of the same glazes, they just bake the donuts separately to order. Also have gf breakfast sandwiches available as well. The donuts were a bit a dense, similar to cake, but still delicious. They have lots of vegan and keto options as well!

Very gluten-free friendly, but the doughnuts were so bad in taste that had to throw them out. Not edible.

They can do almost all of their donuts GF and vegan. They bake them separately and have a separate prep station to apply glaze and toppings in the back. The donuts are a bit more cake like in texture but delicious and I did not get sick.
