I had a great experience at this place. All the pasta dishes except the ravioli can be replaced with a gluten free penne pasta. I am not celiac so I do not know about cross contamination because it is not always a problem for me.
I had a shrimp pasta dish with white wine sauce. I am also allergic to garlic and onion, the server checked with the chef to make sure neither of those were in the dish either. She was knowledgeable and very kind!
They had three options for gluten free dessert: crème brûlée, sorbet, and gelato (one flavor, vanilla bean currently).
I will be going back!
I'm GF because I have to follow a low-fodmap diet.
There is a buckwheat pasta which I'm guessing you could substitute with your choice of sauce, but I didn't feel comfortable or bother asking since the server didn't seem interested in my dietary concerns and the sauces all had garlic anyway (which is a no-no for me).
That left me with the usual salad with grilled chicken (which was dry). The server didn't mention GF bread for the sandwiches, so he either didn't know or they didn't have any. I probably wouldn't have chosen this place due to my restrictions, but since I was with a group, I didn't have a choice--nor did I want to be *that* person.
GF only patrons might be happy with the buckwheat pasta but low fodmap options are slim to none.
The staff was very helpful in walking us through the menu and pointing out all the GF options. I was surprised by the number of delicious choices. They have GF pasta that can be substituted for most of their dishes. I had the Chicken risotto special and it was delicious. I waited to write this review to see if I would have any reaction. I am happy to say that I have not. We will be back soon and often!
