Excelente! Recomiendo! Cocina gluten free a la vista, comida buena y a precios accesibles, la atención muy buena!
While they had a gluten section of the menu clearly listed and it was nice to have appetizers it was very bland pasta. The noodles were prepared correctly and were good but the sauce itself from two separate dishes had no depth of flavor. We had been eating around the corner and most every restaurant has GF pasta that was so much better.
They did have GF bread which was nice and the charcuterie board was very good.
My mother in law who isn’t GF got a pizza I could not eat. However, if you have a non GF person in the party she thought the pizza was the best she had our entire trip.
2 kitchens , clearly marked and visible from the small dining room (and behind glass). Vibe is more fast casual than old-world Italian. The menu clearly identifies what is GF; we did not have any confusion about that and they do not claim to be a 100% GF restaurant. Mostly the pizza was not GF. All pastas and appetizers were GF. Agree with other review that the fries are really good! Supplì also good!
Menu was marked. However, this place was the low point of an otherwise wonderful vacation. I have never paid to be treated so poorly in my life!!! My husband and I are very conscious tourists. We make an effort to be respectful of others as we are aware that we are the foreigners in their country. But despite this we were still met with hostility. Honestly, the food was nothing special but what stands out in my mind most, was the rude staff. At one point I was yelled at by the barista on my way to the restroom and made to prove I was a diner, as she didn't notice I had just gotten up from a table...despite there only being 2 occupied tables at the time! There are way too many other wonderful places in Rome to waste your time with this place. AVOID
I have celiac, the server put my order in as regular but my husbands in as gluten free (he doesn’t need GF)…
I was delivered my husbands meal. A food runner brought out my meal. I clarified and she said mine was in fact GF but then saw the receipt afterwards said that mine was not GF. I’m on vacation only eating at AIC places and am really upset.
This place also is mediocre. The food tasted like food I could make at home… the server and one other employee were on the younger side and too busy gossiping the whole shift.
Unprofessional, dangerous, overrated.
Be careful as there are signs on the wall saying 100% gluten free however that is not true. Another danger sign is that the menu shows the combination that is gluten free however the cornetto/croissants are not gluten free. We asked if the hot chocolate was gluten free and the waiter said no but the dark chocolate and coconut drink and a white chocolate drink were GF. When the dark chocolate drink came out we asked again if it was gluten free and they changed to saying it contained gluten. For an AIC accredited venue the staff were not very knowledgeable and we didn’t have much confidence.
Good option in center of Rome, close to Pantheon. It' an AIC (celiac italian association) certified restaurant, so highest standard of safety. Many GF options , identified on the menu (i do not understand how it can be considered misleading, as reported in other reviews...). Staff is knowleadgeble and can futher clarify and/or suggest. Being in center of Rome, interior space is pretty limited. Taste is accettable, but please bear in mind that this is a "tourist-restaurant" so do not expect eccellence..
Really, good gluten free options. Kinda like fast food but hit the spot. They have fried mozzarella balls and rice balls that were really yummy.
Save your money and do NOT eat here. After visiting Vatican City we happened to notice this place as we walked past. We decided to grab something to eat and I order the GF pancakes. We sat near the glass window of the GF kitchen and I did not see anyone e cooking in it. My pancakes were served and they were disgusting. They were hard with a biscuit texture and clearly not cooked fresh as they were barely warm. I called the waiter over and told them they were not fresh and they took it away they were going to ‘make more’ and I told them not to bother as they shouldn’t have served that rubbish to begin with. I was still charged €5 for the small glass of juice and cover charge of sitting in the restaurant as the pancakes were a meal deal with the drink. Absolutely disgusting. If I could give zero stars I would. I don’t even know if they were made GF as I did not seen an preparation from the GF kitchen.
Handmade gluten free pasta. I had the bolognese and really enjoyed it. The noodles were thick and al dente. The portion was perfect for me, not too big (too many different things to eat and not enough room!) found this place on the AIC app, although I didn’t see AIC anywhere on the menu/in the store. We just popped it for a quick lunch. It was good, but most of the other places we went to we really wanted to go back a second time, and this wasn’t one of them. There are just a lot of other options for restaurants that have a greater array of GF options. If I had limited time I would go to La Soffitta for homemade pasta over this.
Two separate kitchens so gluten free items are safe! This is a bit of a quicker lunch spot. The cacio e pepe was very good!! I also had it delivered (using Deliveroo) one day for lunch when we were too tired to go out. It came marked Gluten Free and was really good. My husband had ordered a gluten meal and they were bagged separately too which was nice!
They have a whole section for GF foods. The staff are really friendly and everything seems yummy! I had the “Spaghetti Alla Carbonara” and my boyfriend had the “Spaghetti Alla Gricia”. The difference in the two meals is the Carbonara has a yellowish sauce and egg. The Spaghetti Alla Gricia” was a lit peppery.
Very tasty pasta with lots of glutenfree options. All their glutenfree products are made in a separate kitchen to eliminate crosscontamination. The chef told us they are looking to sell gluten free pizza in the future. Very nice place for a quick bite to eat for very good prices!
