I would have given a 5 star but the server was not very knowledgeable about gluten free menu or celiac but was willing to ask questions of the chef. I had high expectations of this restaurant due to the family’s past ownership of Glutenfreeda and really the only reason I went there -I think they have a ways to go with GF, but will acknowledge they just opened. I have eaten there twice - same item - hamburger- I am super sensitive, so I rarely eat out and on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being really sick I only was about a 2 after eating there- which I will take, so yes I will go back and will recommend, but I hope they can go to the next level with their gluten free choices, which really comes down to education and communication!Celiac’s will have high expectations when a past owner of a GF company opens a restaurant
Update to post! Third visit to Patina - owner greeted us upon hearing we (my son and myself are celiac) were celiac customers to discuss and ensure a safe level of gluten free! All the food was wonderful - has the shrimp app., pan seared tuna and hamburger - we did great with the food, minimal reaction and I am a very sensitive celiac
