Review of Patron Mexican Restaurant

Review

We called ahead to ask whether Patron had GF options and were thrilled to hear they use corn starch to thicken their sauces instead of flour. There are several Mexican restaurants on the South Hill, but they all use flour to thicken things. Not only that, the manager of Patron texted us the morning of our reservation to make sure the corn starch they use was safe for our GF girl. They were very knowledgeable about cross-contamination, overall, and our server let us know we were the first to eat that day (had just opened for lunch) so the oil was fresh and GF if we wanted something fried. They were especially attentive during our meal. Several different people on the waitstaff checked in and were all aware of the GF person at our table. They have a large menu, and all of us enjoyed our food - GF and non-GF. Looking forward to eating at Patron regularly!
