My husband who has celiac had the Sweet Potato & Pancetta Rissoto and I (gluten sensitive) had the Roman Carbonara. Both were very good. The offer a standard gf penne used for all pasta dishes, so the pasta itself was about the same as anywhere, but the flavor of the sauce was very good. I tried my husbands and while his was good, I preferred the Roman Carbonara.
They brought out gf bread. The bread is like a toastini and served with a delicious spread, but I couldn't tell you what the spread was.
Service was great.
Friendly and courteous and knowledgeable server offered GF bread with GF condiments, special was made with GF pasta. Very yummy. Server had a smile each time he came to the table. Checked on our drinks and food often without hovering. Highly recommend for special occasions, romantic dinner, etc.
Santino took such good care of us and we were able to enjoy a lovely meal with dear friends. Thank you to all who reviewed and helped us find this place. I had a salad, tomato pasta, and soy free gelato. Everyone at Patrono was so kind, helpful, and took great care in keeping our food both gluten and soy free.
We had a fantastic meal! All the staff were quite knowledgeable and walked us through all the menu items even though there were a lot specifically marked as GF. The chef was so friendly and even came out to our table to meet us and answer any questions we had. We had the GF bread (amazing!), beef carpaccio, Roman pasta carbonara, and surf and turf. DELICIOUS!
I read really good reviews on here about Patrono, and they’re all true! I went, and the restaurant itself was very clean and nice. When you look at the menu, there doesn’t initially look like there’s a lot of GF items, but if you ask the staff they can verbally tell you what they have. The staff is very knowledgeable and very passionate about helping those with gluten allergies or celiac disease (just make sure to inform them if you feel comfortable). I have severe bloating whenever I ingest gluten, and both times I’ve gone now I haven’t had any problems. I would highly recommend the GF pasta with marinara, and their GF bread which was perfect (eat with the salted butter). I will frequently eat here in the future!
The food was really good. I had zero reaction and they even had a GF beer! Staff was knowledgeable.our service was lacking, but the food was great!
Weeelllll let me tell you about this FANTASTIC surprise of a find. We needed to find something in the area with gluten free options and this jewel of a restaurant popped up. It's nice and we weren't really dressed nicely but that didn't matter. The bartender and our waitress were so kind and helpful as I asked my list of gluten free and allergen questions. The GF food is prepared in a separate space and is truly GF. WOWZA!!! You aren't going to believe my next sentence....They brought out GF bread. This was my first out of body experience! I haven't ever had a restaurant in my beloved state of Oklahoma bring out true GF bread, just like they do for the real people!!! I wanted to hug the waitress but had already been awkward with my list of questions. That alone made my day. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp Amatriciana. They aren't exaggerating, itsa spicy! It's also delicious. I forgot what the proper name of the pork pieces in the dish are called but they taste like little crunchy bacon balls. Totally tasty. The group I ate with were all impressed with their full of gluten meals. We talked about the food the whole way home. This place is definitely now in my top 5 in OK.
Will definitely be back! Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All pasta can be made GF, and they have GF bread too! My husband and I had the Carbonara pasta with Airplane chicken, winter Potrono salad, and the daily soup. Dessert was an affogato which came with a GF cookie. 10 out of 10 on all!
Hubs and I had a date night at Patrono Saturday night!! It was fantastic!! Beautiful atmosphere, and the staff was very knowledgeable about GF. They have GF pasta, and if nothing on the menu sparks your interest, they will gladly make you something custom! We had a 2 hour wait, so I highly recommend joining the line at OpenTable ahead of time. 100% worth the wait!!
