Something changed. No one at this restaurant including the manager had any knowledge of what was gluten or gluten free. Was told all I could get was toast (gf bread) or gluten feee pancakes. Literally that’s it. I laughed and asked to talk to the manager who said the same.
Don’t go here if you want to eat.
The food was good. The place was busy and packed but the wait to be seated wasn't too long. We were however disappointed that pets are allowed. Most of the pet owners skipped the line to wait by entering through the exit door which meant they were seated ahead of those who used the front door and added their name to the wait list. The older lady working there seemed to be the go to person if you have your pet. I love pets but not in a restaurant or where food is envolved unless it's a registered service animal.
I went to the front to ask about their gluten free options and get some guidance on good menu items for me. I just got repeated at me multiple times "we have gluten free bread, toast, buns and pancakes." After that unhelpful experience, I went with an omelette. No one at my table of four had good food.
We did not have the same experience as others. None of the staff was informed. We were told they could only make pancakes and toast gluten free. Nothing else on the menu. Our celiac daughter was not comfortable eating anything because when we tried to explain that the waitress needed to tell the kitchen we got a rude response.
Honestly the best gluten free pancakes I have ever had. Probably the beat pancakes ever not just gluten free. Super delicious. I can't wait to come back. Service was friendly and pretty fast. Prices are more then fair.
I was pleasantly surprised to see 'Gluten Free Pancake Combo' on the menu! The pancakes were amazing! My son had the 'Gluten free French toast combo' and loved it. My daughter stuck with the eggs and bacon and was pleased. They carry Udis so they have buns, as well. Highly recommend it!
Excellent find! Great food in a cute diner on a neat street. Very large menu with breakfast served all day. They understand cross contamination and are careful. My celiac daughter loved the pancakes. They were so delicious, I was surprised they were GF! Caution: the GF French toast uses the same egg dip as the regular bread, so beware. She wanted that but couldn't have it.
Such a wonderful find! Read the reviews and decided to try It out! Something for my non celiac family as well as myself ( who is celiac) Enjoyed a delicious bacon cheeseburger WITH a gluten free bun ( that was delicious) with a side of cottage cheese. Server seemed aware and knowledgable about celiac and gluten free.. Was full and satisfied when we left! Must try this diner again! The menu also stated gluten free pancakes and waffles!
This was an amazing find!! They have Gluten Free Pancakes, French Toast, Burger Buns, Bread, Toast, Sandwiches, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc... The Service is great and so is the Food!! I now frequent this restaurant twice a week. I love Patys! (By the way the use Udi's Breads and Buns My Favorite!!)
