CELIACS BEWARE! No dedicated Fryer anymore! They have a new chef, the old one retired and he is not informed, and has gone to buying processed bulk food instead of Farm to Table. They now have items on there menu that ARE MARKED GLUTEN FREE - BUT THEY ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE! I have Celiacs, which was another reason that we always went there for the food because the chef was informed about "GLUTEN FREE" I usually ordered CARNITAS tacos, but they are no longer an option because No more Shredded pork, so this time I ordered... CRISPY AVOCADO & MISO CAULIFLOWER tacos and TRUFFLE FRIES like I normally do, (because they had a dedicated fryer) Both marked "GLUTEN FREE" on there menu. BUT, BEWARE BOTH OF THOSE ITEMS ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE! Luckily I thought to ask just to make sure, after hearing about all the new changes, I got nervous and not wanting to get sick, made me ask. So after speaking with the NEW CHEF, the waitress informed me that the avocados used in my CRISPY AVOCADO & MISO CAULIFLOWER meal were fried in the fryer and that the CHEF told her, that he does fry Gluten containing items in the fryer now, but to tell me that "Heat destroys the Gluten" so I should be fine". This actually PISSED ME OFF! Because.... NO! HEAT DOES NOT DESTROY THE GLUTEN! Gluten is a protein (not a type of bacteria) and proteins cannot be “killed off” using heat. I could've been really sick after eating there because of the ignorance of their new chef. However, I do wish to mention that they do have a great atmosphere and their waitstaff is WONDERFUL but sadly that was our last visit to Peddler's Fork, unless they find a new chef (that is informed) and go back to Farm to Table, locally bought, organic, fresh, wonderfully tasting food worth the price they are charging.

Although the hostess was NOT knowledgeable about gluten free menu items, the overall services was very good. The salad was amazing and I can’t wait to comeback.

We've eaten here several times with no issue for my celiac daughter. Nice, big GF menu. Great cocktails, also kid-friendly on the weekends.
