Pei Wei

They now have a separate dedicated allergen cooking area with dedicated GF pans and cookware! <<< IMPORTANT UPDATE!! We were told last time that all pei wei’s now have separate pans and cook areas for gluten free. I did not get sick last time. However, this time, I visited in person and stopped them before they cooked mine in the same wok as everything else. They said that they don’t actually have separate pans, but they do “burn” the wok before cooking mine. I told them that gluten is not something that can be burnt off like a bacteria and I canceled my order :/ Not Celiac safe. But gave two stars only because of the gluten free options for those who are not Celiac.

Had the sweet and sour chicken. It was just okay. I was a little excited because it's rare to find anything that is breaded in GF but the breading had no flavor and an odd texture. The dish would have been way better if they just left that off and gave you a decent portion of chicken. I got the large size and there is no way that there was more than 2-3 ounces of actual chicken. The brown rice was good but that's about it. I would be willing to try something else but would not order that dish again.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

I got the gf sweet and sour chicken and it was horrible. It tasted like cleaning products. The only reason I gave it two stars was because I didn't get sick. My wife got the dynamite chicken and ended up throwing it away because it was so terrible. I was very disappointed and we definitely will not be eating here again.

Perfect every time! It's a weekly run in our household now. Take out just as safe as dine in.

Not a fan- didn’t look like woks were being switched in-between dishes. Not sure how or why some things are GF and others are not when ingreds are similar- made no sense - too saucy!

I have eaten at this Pei Wei location at least 6 times and have had no reactions to their gluten free meals. I am highly sensitive to cross-contact. The menu is clearly marked and the manager was able to answer all of my questions.

I ordered the Gluten Free Bourbon chicken with rice and it was delicious and a good portion! I had no negative reaction!
