From the get go the upscale was quite clear which sort of started with a negative experience. Overall the ambiance is nice. The waitress wasn’t very knowledgeable about celiac and gluten restrictions. She forgot a few items with my meal like the dressing I wanted and brought out a completely different dressing. She also took away my cocktail before I finished it. They do have one* item on the menu which is completely gluten free (mushroom ravioli). Overall the meals were fairly pricey, but I ended up having a nice lobster tail and garlic mashed potatoes. Who knows if there was any gluten in there but I felt fine after the meal!

Servers were very knowledgeable about gluten. They have a waitress with celiac. Decent amount of options. One fully gluten free vegan dish on the menu, with no adjustments, that is. Ravioli. It was great. Confirmed they use a separate pot, and utensils for the pasta. Easily accommodated my dairy allergy as well. Two days later and I have had no cc side effects.

The porterhouse tested GF on Nima, but the creme brûlée that was supposed to be GF tested positive. Waiter Josh was very attentive
This cozy, classy restaurant was a great find in Big Bear. Indoor/Outdoor seating. Everything is made from scratch, the owner and waitstaff are extremely knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination. Very friendly also! Had a previous manager with celiac, so well trained. We had the talipa with cream sauce, warm spinach salad, clam chowder. All amazing!! They also have a gf creme brûlée that we will try next time. I felt great the next day, and I am super sensitive. Thank you Peppercorn for a beautiful anniversary dinner!!
