I ate here twice. The first two times the server I spoke to assured me that the dishes I was ordering were safe for celiac as they were made with potato starch. Both dishes were fried (“salted fried shrimp” and “salted fried tofu”). However, I just spoke to a different server who knew someone with celiac who informed me that actually any dish that is fried goes into a fryer which has cross-contamination with flour/wheat/gluten. Both of these dishes (salted fried shrimp and salted fried tofu) were listed on the menu with a GF label. She said she doesn’t think her colleagues know that the fryer is not safe. They also need to update the menu, she added. She was fantastic. I recommend not getting anything fried here. She says the non-fried dishes have the woks cleaned out between dishes. I had some symptoms after eating the two dried dishes but didn’t know if it was for sure due to being glutened at the time. Now I’m wondering if it was, after speaking with this server. I am not going to eat the food I just ordered because I’m now skeptical of their methods.
