I mentioned to the waitress that I have celiacs disease, and she told me that they cannot serve me here. Due to the cross contamination, they felt uncomfortable serving me all together. Would not recommend to anyone with a severe gluten allergy or is sensitive to cross contamination.

I was not confident going into this meal, but was pleasantly surprised! Our server was super knowledgeable about gluten, and even made sure my cocktail was gluten free and that they sanitized the shaker without me asking. The barbecue meats are all gluten free, I had the barbecue chicken, rice and coleslaw. All of it was really good, and I had no reaction at all. Would definitely recommend!

After a recommendation by our local boat crew, I really wanted to try this place but the first review was so bad I was Leary. I decided to call and ask some questions when I knew they wouldn’t be busy. They’ve switched out the soy sauce in both the jerk and bbq marinades for Tamari so now the jerk and bbq things are all gf and cooked on a different surface. The waitress went over the whole menu with me (I’m gf and D.F.) and let me know what I could have. She knew what was cross contaminated and what modifications could be made (I’m famous for asking g asking lots of questions and trying to modify to get something I really want 🤷♀). I had the 1/2 bbq jerk chicken with sides of roasted breadfruit (local), and steamed veggies. My sides were very plain and she brought some olive oil For me. Chicken was delicious, some at table thought pork was better than chicken. One of my gf kiddos had the ribs. Food was really good and Restaraunt has a fun feel with lots of local flavors. Nice break on the wallet too. No repercussions.
Tried to dine here with family. Have gluten and dairy allergies and they really couldn't prepare something for me. I did appreciate the honesty of the waitress for informing me as such. She said she would check with the chef in the kitchen, but I am not sure she did because they were busy.
