A quick and delicious Mexican restaurant. The menu is not marked with GF info. As with traditional Mexican food ingredients, there are lots of options if you are careful. The staff was able to isolate and give me corn tortillas. I chose machacado plate for breakfast. It's one of those meals that's so worth it, but you need to take precautions yourself. It was helpful to speak Spanish, but not necessary. I did not react to the food.
Great experience here with delicious food. Although there is no dedicated fryer or gluten free menu, the chef and wait-staff were very knowledgeable, patient and made accommodations for the least amount of cross-contamination with gluten items. Pass on the chips as they are fried in a shared fryer. I ordered the Fiesta plate with corn tortillas and it was one of the best Mexican meals I’ve had in San Antonio. Check out this no frills, affordable and delicious spot!
