The place has a especial menu gluten-free and the staff are careful when you ask food from that menu. On the menu has an information saying that they don't have a separated kitchen, but they use separated plates to prepare the gluten-free food. And it is delicious.
This is my go to place for Chinese food in Tulsa. They have a great gluten free menu and take it seriously. My food is always brought out on different plates to signify its gluten free. I usually get the fried rice and the chicken and broccoli. Delicious!
GF menu is safe for celiacs. Never been glutened. Their process is tight for avoiding cross contamination. Dedicated storage, prep, cooking utensils and equipment, and specific plates so everyone in the chain knows its a GF plate. Great food.
This is a family favorite and one of the restaurants we go to more regularly as I have CD and have never gotten sick there. The food is very tasty and the staff is knowledgeable. You have to ask for the GF menu and check your meal comes out on the specified gf plate. You can also ask for gf sauces to be brought to the table but I have not tried them.
I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. Was very yummy! I noticed a coating on the shrimp and got really scared. The manager came over and told me it was potato starch, that is all they use to coat things. Yay!
Visit at least once a week. Great gluten-free options including pad Thai, Hokkien noodles and combo fried rice (my favorite), also a gluten-free version of their chicken lettuce wraps. They take gluten-free very seriously and prepare everything in separate pans, use separate utensils and plates as well as gluten-free sauces to prepare the items. One thing I hope they have one day is gluten-free lo mein, was my favorite Chinese dish before being diagnosed with celiac and would love to have that again.
We usually like to try new restaurants when we travel but ended up at PF Chang’s (an always favorite) because we were starving, we knew it was Celiac safe and the food would be good. The food here was excellent!
We have been to this location multiple times and have not had any issues, however we just got a NIMA Gluten Sensor and tested our GF items which it detected gluten to be present. We were so disappointed. Hopefully just a one off, but you pay a very high premium for GF items at PF Chang’s.
The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free practices. They have a designated gluten free menu which uses a separate GF prep area. Menu items ordered off of the GF menu are plated differently so that staff can ensure the allergy was handled correctly. I felt very safe eating here, and had no issues!
Fabulous food and excellent service. Been twice and both times explained to the server that it has to be GF because I have CD. This location (downtown SL) seems to understand and do a great job. So glad to have found a place I can eat out and feel safe.
I’ve eaten here 4 times in the past year and have had good experiences each time with knowledgeable servers. I am a sensitive celiac so I worry about cross contamination, especially at chain restaurants, but after ordering from their separate gf menu, which is somewhat limited since I can’t eat spicy foods, I’ve never been sick. The food is served on separately styled plates so it’s easy to see which ones are gf when eating “family style” and sharing dishes. I’m not sure how safe their hot tea is but I didn’t order it after being told that they weren’t sure if the tea was gf ( many teas at restaurants serving Asian food apparently have added barley.) All in all I’ve had very good experiences here, have ordered several dishes, found knowledgeable staff and would highly recommend this restaurant.
🙌🏼 AMAZING! My first time here and definitely will be back! The server let me know how serious they take gluten allergies. When they brought us our food they explained how gluten-free is served on special plates. It’s the little things that make the world of a difference when you have celiac!!
They say they are celiac friendly with separate fryers but I've gotten symptoms twice now. Not sure how but something is wrong there. It's a shame bc the food is good
Waitress was extremely friendly with us and accommodated my daughters needs. We both ate from the gluten free menu with no issues. The waitress was also proactively in advising us what to order for our meal and dessert. Will definitely be back.
Sucks sooooooooooooooooooo bad
Picked up food from here the first time and they were so good about asking if I wanted GF soy sauce and omitting cookies. 2nd time - not so much - just regular kikkoman and some fortune cookies thrown in. Otherwise no reactions.
There ARE gluten free options for celiac and gluten sensitive but their food has changed drastically over time. They try to fool you with atmosphere and the "fancy" custom sauce but their food is seriously lacking. It tastes like it appeals to people who don't want to actually eat Asian inspired dishes but bland slop par for the course considering the stereotypical American fare. The Pad Thai is a joke. Buddha's Feast is absolutely depressing. My SO got the hot and sour soup and hated it. Way too expensive for the quality and quantity of food you get. This is not a complaint about the cooks themselves but the recipes, which are not decided by the location's staff but the company itself. It's a damn shame.
Helpful staff, yummy food and separate menu!
A relaxing and tasty meal! They have a separate gf menu with a good selection, including an appetizer, a soup, sides, and a nice variety of entree options. Make sure if you have a gluten sensitivity that you let your server know, and that you order specifically off the gf menu. Our server was very nice about going back to the kitchen to answer any questions I had. They have separate pans and utensils for preparing gf food, as well as gf sauces. I ordered the egg drop soup (theirs is naturally gf with no modifications), and the gf ginger chicken and broccoli with white rice. The egg drop soup was very hearty and savory. The ginger chicken and broccoli was my go-to before I got diagnosed, and I was happy to find that the gf version tasted pretty much identical! It came out on a plate that had a very prominent PF Chang's logo on it, which marks it as a gf meal (so make sure your entree comes out on one of these). Also tried their homemade ginger beer, which was a zesty surprise! Other things to keep in mind, the soy sauce on the table isn't gf, but they can get you gf soy sauce if you ask for it. Felt great afterwards, would definitely recommend!
Designated gluten free menu. I have eaten here multiple times and have had no reaction - I am sensitive too. Just be sure to tell them it’s an allergy!
