An unfortunate experience. I am new to the gluten-free lifestyle - so I am hoping this isn't the norm. Ordered off the gluten-free menu, and stressed that this was medical, not a dietary choice. Waitress immediately mixed the "sauce" with the gluten based pot sticker sauce. When I asked for gluten free, she responded "No problem" but when she came back to remix, she used the same spoon and dipped back in the mustard and chili. So now it was all contaminated! When my meal came, I asked for gluten-free soy sauce. While waiting, I realized I had gotten the wrong order (chicken instead of shrimp) - which made me worry about how much she was really paying attention. When my waitress returned, she asked what was wrong - and I had them take back my order. In the mean time, my "gf" soy sauce was delivered, but then not 3 minutes later, the other person came back and said she "was sorry and brought the wrong sauce - good thing I didn't use it, haha." So potential gluten #2 - had I had my food, it would have gotten me. There were other service issues - not having to do with gluten as well. After I paid and headed towards the front, I ran into the manager, and helped her understand that at very least she had a training issue, and at most, she had an attitude problem with her staff on gluten sensitivities. She said she would remedy it, and offered a free appetizer and $10 my next visit. Which is fine, except that now I am more leary. Being in my first week, I won't be able to tell if the kitchen, at least, handled everything correctly, but eater-be-ware.
Ordered Mongolian Chicken & Vegetable Fried Rice from the GF menu. They confirmed a separate kitchen for GF items. Took extra time to cook but my food was brought out my a manager who confirmed GF. I then tested both items with my Nima Sensor and came back with a smile (no gluten found). Meal was so delicious! They brought out GF soy sauce in individual packets. PF Chang’s does a great job and the Nima Sensor is always a savior
This is the only Chinese restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. They are so knowledgeable of gluten free foods, and even plate allergy foods on different plates to insure they don’t get mixed up. I usually get the Chang’s spicy chicken! It’s delicious and has a nice, crispy like outside layer to it, which is rare in the gluten free world. Never gotten sick!!
Decent GF menu, have eaten here lots and never sick.
I've never had an issue with a pf Chang's restaurant however after eating here (lettuce wraps), I got that mild sickness indicative of cross contamination.
This PF Chang’s location is either not gluten free or just careless and have no concern about gluten free preparation skill. I ate here a few times and got gluten every single time. Stay away from the this place. Go to PF Chang’s at LA Cantera they are definitely gluten and very knowledgeable. They really do take great precaution. I been eating there once a week for the past few years and never had and issue. Highly recommend.
They have gluten free soy sauce and prepare allergy menu items separate. I get the fried rice and it's cooked in a separate wok for gluten free.
They have the best gluten free menu really safe, the staff have knowledge about Alergies The best!!!
Gluten-free menu that clearly states steps to prevent cross contamination. They have a separare kitchen area, plates and wok for gf foods. You can ask for gf soy sauce. Servers are knowledgable and the food is delicious. I asked if the non-alcoholic beverages were gf, the server said he checked and he thinks they are but couldn't guarantee it since they get ingredients for those from outside manufacturers. I really appreciated the dilligence and honesty.
Several Gluten free options including my favorite, lettuces wraps. The food is cooked in a dedicated gluten free wok and comes on a different plate. Biggest win my husband liked my gluten free spicy chicken better than his entree! He usually will not eat anything labeled gf. Staff was awesome. Overall great experience!
Tout est délicieux!!!! Surtout le poulet Chang et l'entrée gigantesque de rouleau avec de la salade 😊
PF Changs has been amazing for our celiac family. They have a dedicated gluten section in their kitchens & a separate gluten free menu. The Changs Spicy Chicken, Mongolia Beef, lettuce wraps & Chicken fried rice are some of our favorite dishes to eat safely there. They have gluten free soy sauce that they bring out to you...do not use the soy sauce in the bottles on their tables.
Ate there this evening and my symptoms have started. It's going to be a miserable night. Two stars because the food and service were both good. BUT the waitress grabbed my husband's plate of food with her thumb in the bowl and then grabbed my plate with her thumb in it. I knew that I was probably going to be in trouble. The staff needs training. I specifically said gluten free chicken lettuce wraps. Unfortunately she didn't bother to ask if it was an allergy or a dietary preference. My fault, I guess. Another restaurant off the list.
My husband and I went with some friends. I have to be gluten free so that’s always a concern for me. I was very impressed with their gluten free options. They have a separate gluten free menu and gluten free is also marked on the menu. All the food was great and the service too. The staff was very conscientious and familiar with gluten.
Ordered the gluten free spicy chicken and noticed there were noodles in my food (ordered it to go). Wound up throwing up the whole night. This place is not celiac friendly! I think they use the same wok to cook everything in.
Fantastic experience- best of any PFC location I’ve ever been to. Our very knowledgeable and careful server brought me a GF ice cream they make in house on the house. Sweet surprise! Kindness and consideration abounds here. In addition to the separate menu with extensive choices, my husband (not celiac or GF) are also able to share dishes here . Dedicated cooking space, special plates and ramekins to denote GF, and very knowledgeable and sensitive staff. Above and beyond to ensure safety.
This used to be a go to for our family, however that last two visits have resulted in me becoming incredibly sick shortly after. As we’ve been many times, I thought I’d give it another shot. Something must have unfortunately changed in the kitchen. Disappointed :(
Food was great, didn't get sick. I ordered the lettuce wraps and pork fried rice off the gluten free menu. My plate was different than everyone else's so everyone knew. Service was just OK, but worth it to feel safe. I'd eat here again.
The GF Mongolian beef is delicious! I love Chinese food and appreciate being able to order GF items. GF chicken wraps are also good. A little pricey. They have always gotten to order right both dine in and to go. Never gotten sick. One time I did have to send back the chicken wraps bc they looked different. They did end up being the non GF one but I had not eaten any. I would recommend always double checking with the person who delivers the food that it is GF. Mistakes do happen on busy nights and like anything that there are two versions of -GF and non GF- it’s good to double check.
My son’s first Chinese food experience since diagnosis! Delicious and safely prepared. No problems at all. Several Great menu Options.
Dedicated gluten free menu. Great food and staff is wonderful!
