Phil’s Diner

1950’s diner in the Thumb of Michigan. Has GF dedicated fryers and cook space. Everything on the menu can be made GF except for the pancakes and cheese sticks. I had fried pickles for the first time in over 2 years and they were awesome. Also had chicken fingers and hand cut French fries. All GF. I’m super sensitive to cross contamination and I never got sick. Food was all fresh and made to order.

Absolutely phenomenal service and care on the order - almost anything can be made GF, and Phil makes sure anything advertised as safe is certified and prepped in a dedicated space and fryer. Seriously, go here if you're hungry and want something safe & tasty.

Wow! What a spot that every town should have! This is REAL gluten free food not just food minus the bun/croutons. I didn't see GF posted on the menu so I asked. Owner is very knowledgeable and friendly so don't hesitate to ask questions. Great cook that kmows how to prepare GF and friendly staff! I had a GF breaded bacon cheeseburger and GF onion rings. It was by far the best meal out I have had in a long time.

Everything about this place is great. Dedicated fryer and grill space. Onion rings, fried pickles and a fried cod sandwich for lunch. Very knowledgeable staff. Waitress was nice and convincing to try the pickles

Phil knows what he’s doing with gluten free. Separate gluten free flyer, hand batters everything so I tried the gf fried chicken sandwich, onion rings & club sandwich. Delicious!

Phil, the owner, is well versed on gluten-free foods and is very accommodating when it comes to menu choices for individuals with celiac and/or gluten intolerance. There are so many menu choices. It is not your typical gluten-free menu. They even have gluten free sausage gravy. Absolutely amazing! You cannot go wrong at this restaurant. Highly recommended!
