I’ve been here twice, because of good reviews on this app. I’m a sensitive celiac.
Briefly: the food here is good for the price, and if you are very careful and extremely cautious fact checking each person that touched your food you’ll most likely be safe. But if you trust what they say and trust they know what celiac implies, you might get sick. They have protocols but no one is really aware or cares, and there is zero communication between server and kitchen. No one takes responsibility.
The first time I went I was assures by the server that in my order, pho which included noodles, everything was gluten free. I felt a little glutened after, but figured it must have been stress or something else because the server -seemed- knowledgeable.
The second time I was more cautious. After drilling the server, it turns out although you order gluten free with celiac they still boil noodles in shared water with wheat noodles. She assured me they could cook them in a separate pot with fresh water. When my food came out very fast, I got suspicious. After drilling the new server three times where she insisted it was boiled separately but I didn’t trust her, she went back to the kitchen and asked. Turns out they had not boiled them separate. She lightly apologized and brought me a new, contamination free order. I felt ok after eating. Not perfect and I assume they were still sloppy in the prep and cross contamination elsewhere, since clearly they use the GF for selling and they don’t really know how to take it seriously.
