As soon as we arrived we were asked if we had any allergies, and once they learned one of us was coeliac they explained that all gluten free food was prepared in a coeliac friendly way but they could not provide guarantees that the food delivered to them (e.g., vegetables) had not come into contact with gluten containing foods prior to delivery. We still felt safe to eat there and it was really great for my partner to look at a menu normally, as the menu was almost entirely gluten free! Great service and overall a good experience.
It is so delicious and fresh. Almost everything is gluten-free and wheat free and dairy free. Only 2 springrolls not. Wouw. Zo lekker bijna alles is tarwevrij, glutenvrij, Melkvrij. Alleen de springrolls, maar dat zijn maar 2 varianten. Alles wordt vers gemaakt. Daarom duurt het iets langer. De moeite waard.
This is the second time I’ve eaten here and it’s fantastic. Server was clued up and told me the only things on the menu I couldn’t have were the spring rolls.
I had chicken wings followed by the beef brisket curry. My friend had the phở and it looked great too.
We were also tempted into taking coffee - it’s quite a short, drip coffee that’s sweet and very nice.
Delicious! Menu is “98% gluten-free” and they will explain what few items have gluten. Great pho incl beef brisket and tofu+mushroom with veg broth. Very busy on weekend, you can queue up, or make reservation ahead if possible. Located in St James Quartet shopping mall, a short walk from Waverley train station and attached to the W Hotel “poop emoji” building.
Menu is 98% gf - from what we were told there were only 2 items not gf, which are cooked separately. The pho was good, but the broth could have had more flavor. The chicken wings were very good. We also tried the banana fritters and chocolate waffle - each with honey and ginger ice cream for dessert. Overall a good experience and would recommend highly for safety and food options.
Loved this place. 98%of the menu is gluten free and they clearly identify the 2 items you can’t eat when you self-identify as GF. I had fried chicken wings to start and the prawn pho with chicken broth for main. Both were really good. Our server was Tyson and he was efficient, knowledgable and friendly. Go.
I’ve been to the London location as well but this was my first time at the St James location. Almost every thing is GF, and if you let them know you’re celiac they’ll ensure extra precaution is taken to make sure none of the gluten-containing items in the kitchen come near your food. Really good pho for a cold day!
Ordered delivery from here twice, as they were one of the few places that marked things well in the app. First order was perfect; second was definitely GF but they put real chicken in my papaya salad instead of the GF soy chicken 😭. That said, everything I had from them (including the GF faux prawn vegan crackers) was super tasty, and their menu is so clear about what contains what. Definitely an enjoyable and safe place for me, especially for delivery.
Seemed very allergen-knowledgable but I got sick after eating here. I believe this was due to a misunderstanding of the contamination from their vegan chicken alternative. Reached out to the restaurant to inform them and had my email passed around and then ignored. They did not want to deal with the issue or fix their labelling of the chicken at all. Unsafe.
Most of the menu is gluten free, including all of their pho dishes. Only a few non-gf dishes which are clearly marked on the menu. Lovely food!
Most of their menu is GF, except couple of dishes, great food, loads of choice!
I loved my experience at Pho. I went for dinner, and I was informed most dishes are gluten free, and they can be made egg and dairy free. The taste was incredible, I ordered wok fried rice noodles with beef (pho xao) which I then tried to recreate at home with no avail! The staff is super knowledgeable, as if all of them know all about food allergies, and the restaurant vibe is super friendly. It was a random discovery while I was looking for something to swallow quickly before entering the cinema.
I had never eaten Vietnamese food before and was very excited. There is a sign on the way in stating 98% Gluten Free. Every noodle dish in the restaurant is made with rice noodles. There are two starters that are not GF and I was assured they were prepared and cooked separate so I don't need to worry about it. I had the Beef Combo Pho and it was AMAZING. I would highly recommend their Lychee Lychee Margarita too!!
