Vietnamese/Cajun restaurant. Sharing style. Even though they don;t have a GF menu per say, the type of food (Vietnamese ingredient) result in very little gluten used in the preparations. For instance, they fry all food in rice oil so no cross contamination there. Server was very knowledgeable about gluten and celiac and it did not feel weird (to her or I) to ask a ton of questions. My restaurant rule is to stay away from dishes that are "accommodated" to GF (meaning where they remove or substitute the Gluten ingredients) as it usually results in tasteless dishes. They did accommodate every dish on the table to GF so that I could have some if I wanted it (it is a sharing style restaurant). I appreciated this effort but the resulting dishes were not as good to me they seemed for the people on my table who could add the original sauce (with gluten) to it. I still appreciated the nice touch and effort though. What I liked the most is the amount of choice you can eat AS IS on the menu. Removing the gluten dishes removes about 25% of the 1 page menu but you are left with too many to count tasty dishes: Vietnamese spring rolls, lemon grass chicken, salt and pepper fishes... I feel like I could go to this place again and again and order different food every time and not have to stick to the 2 "GF safe" options.Overall I felt safe (foodwise) and "normal" in this restaurant and that made my day very enjoyable. Note: the atmosphere is very nice as well - but this has nothing to do with GF :)
