Pulled pork is excellent and try the garlic yuca fries!
It's 100% gluten free and 100% delicious. Everyone loved it. Try their fresh juice. It's located inside the Oxbow Public Market which has tons of gluten free options. Save some room for Pica Pica.
My arepa was overlooked and a little blah-- the whole thing just tasted like sugar. Safe to eat here but not so tasty for the high price!
Fresh and delicious, but the portion size was disappointingly small. We ended up here after eating at the other dedicated gluten-free restaurant in the Oxbow. The price for two small plates here was $19.
The food is ridiculous!
SO MAD. Closed an entire thirty minutes early and refused to serve me. Awful service.
This is the only restaurant that I trust 100% for gluten free food, plus the food is always delicious. Maize-wich is the best with whatever filling you put in it. On their menu currently, my favorite filling is Chicken Salad with avocado and peas, and has a little heat too. The garlic yucca fries are also pretty awesome.
Delicious! Many options!
This is my date night go-to place. Always delicious, always safe. Dedicated GF kitchen. Love the Maize-wich bread!
This is one of my favorite places to go grab a quick meal. Yummy
Maizewiches. Tasty, but a bit on the greasy side.
This place is awesome and 100 percent gluten free. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Don't forget to order the yucca fries that come with garlic and home made ketchup. You can also get gfree beer too.
Yum! & Dairy free breads too!
Amazing menu items at a good price for Napa.
Ate here multiple times not because we had too, but because we Really, Really wanted to. Don't miss this spot whilst in Napa.
Tremendously awesome food. I'm thankful to have found this restaurant
Claims to be a gluten free establishment but my sensitive celiac stomach is not convinced. Didn't get very sick but had some distinct gluten related rumblings right after eating here. It's too bad because the arepas are decent (if slightly overpriced).
This restaurant was smaller than I expected in terms of seating, but we found a spot and the food was made quickly. I have Celiac and get sick so easily, but I ate here and did not get sick! We shared a couple menu items; both were delicious. They have g-free beer from a dedicated brewery. Take an order of cheese empanadas to go- they make a great evening snack! GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!
Excellent food, I had a pulled pork arepa on yellow corn with fried garlic yucca as a side- incredibly tasty. The food is extremely unique and with it all being GF (with gf beer available) it really was a safe treat. Every time I'm in SF I must stop here. :)
Fantastic! If I could give six stars, I would. Great food, great tastes, great selection. GF to the Max and no expenses spared. The Yucca beignets are so lovely and sweet!! A must taste for sure. Small seating area but we fit 7 adults and 2 kids around their corner table and has a feast.
Had the crispy chicken arepa and it was delicious! I have celiac and felt great after. The entire menu is gluten free (huge sign out front). Also had the beignets for dessert which were ok (not as worth detail as dinner). Good atmosphere for casual lunch/dinner.
Great Gluten Free....the entire menu! I had the pulled pork Cachapas, which is served in a sweet corn crepe. Cover it in their hot sauce and the sweet and hot make a great combo. You can also order your protein on a grilled corn pocket, more like a sandwich or you can get it over rice. They offer chicken, pork, beef, or grilled tofu vegetarian style. My wife had the Ensalada Verde Caracas with no meat and covered it in the home made hot sauce. Yuca Garlic fries are not to be enjoyed if you will be in a crowd as they are covered in big chunks of garlic. As a side you get about 4 large, square cut fries that are lightly fried. My wife and I both shared them so we would be equally offensive. As a dessert I had the best dish of coconut Quesillo ever. It is crème Carmel with a light sauce. The place has a small fast food layout; They give you a number and they bring you your order. So no need to dress up here. It is a easy 3 block walk from the 18th street Bart station. Not too scary of a neighborhood, but not Beverly Hills either.
Very delicious gluten free Venezuelan food. This is a small Mom & Pop shop. The food has amazing flavor and is very filling. The garlic on the fries was a little spicy for us so we prefer no garlic. Everything is gluten free and they also made our meals dairy free. The drinks were also delicious (coconut lime and mango). Highly recommend this place. We did not get sick and we are very sensitive to minute amounts of gluten.
The other gluten-free restaurant at the market, Pica Pica, is a Venezuelan restaurant serving up naturally gluten-free Arepas, Cachapas and something called a Maize'wich. You choose your bread and filling option for a unique, customized meal. The Arepa (grilled corn flour bread) with Pepeada filling (chicken salad with creamy avocado dressing) I had for lunch was amazing! The side of garlic yuca fries was the perfect accompaniment and the large serving is enough for two to share. There are also salads, soups, other side dishes and several gluten-free beers offered at this eatery.
This place is delicious! The yucca fries are ridiculously yummy and so are the cachapas. I also like the plantains from here. Portion sizes are generous. The vegan options include the shuli filling and the vegetariana as long as you say no aoli. I am not sure about whether their sauces and dressings are vegan, so I usually only get guacamole as my sauce. It's nice to only have to worry about choosing a vegan option and knowing everything here is gluten free. Great location, too. If you're a tourist and you eat here, it's worth it to walk the next few blocks over to Rainbow Grocery and have dessert of yummy GF cookies.
Good god, this place is incredible and I can't recommend it enough for fans of latin food, or anyone else for that matter. The entire restaurant is GF, so there are no worries on cross contamination. I really wish there was one in CT. I had the pulled pork arepa, beef cachapa, and yuca fritters; all, including the various sauces available, were excellent.
