Make absolutely sure that you say, “ I have a severe gluten allergy, please make my food separately with food that hasn’t been touched.” My experience ended up being great, but I didn’t advocate for myself well enough and watched a worker put their hands in toppings that clearly had been cross contaminated when making my food. I saw the mistake and approached the cashier with my issue. She was very kind and went and made me a new pizza. I’m very, very sensitive and it could have been pretty bad for me if I hadn’t of spoken up. Overall, they have the option to be very careful but that might differ depending on who is taking your order.
