Review of Pine Cone Creamery

Pine Cone Creamery exceeded my expectations! I’ve been several times! Their ice cream is made in-house and they have friendly and knowledgeable employees. The workers there were familiar with the word/concept of “cross-contamination.” That was a refreshing experience for rural Walla Walla. I have been told that “while the mix-ins aren’t necessarily gluten-free, everything that goes into the machine is. The mix ins are added in later” (They have malts on the ice cream menu, so I’m not 100% sure the accuracy of that statement. I’m fairly sensitive to cross-contamination and had no issues with regular, non-malted ice creams.) Although I’ve been several times, I always ask about gluten-free, and they have a clipboard with all of the ice creams and ingredients, so if you have an allergy to anything, they’d be happy to reference the clipboard/show you. Finally, while I found this establishment to be celiac-friendly, do bear in mind that many of the flavors have glutenous mix-ins but the name of the flavor doesn’t quite make that obvious.
