Felt safe, food was ok-ish, service/experience was not.
They were friendly enough but my gluten free pizza arrived at least 20 minutes after my kids had finished their ravioli.
The pizza crust was really tasty, but it was not completely baked, very doughy in the middle.
What was great was that the pizza was served on a plate which very clearly stated gluten free, which should reduce the risk of serving the wrong thing, from the kitchen to the customer (see picture).
Have a very mixed review of this place. I got the pizze fritte and it was so amazing to try something new gluten free. Everything I tried was super delicious.
Having said that, they seemed to be upset with us the second we entered. I ordered everything in Italian, not English. I didn’t expect them to be like a typical American wait staff that act super happy to see you, but I didn’t expect them to stare me down and walk away when I would politely say scusi, I just wanted to buy another water but they never let me order it. And my mom found a hair on her pizza, and the waitress was pissed when we told her, stormed off back to the kitchen. So yeah, my mom assumed that she probably had spit in her food and refused to eat the remade pizza. We just paid for it and went to find her something else to eat.
I would give this zero stars if I could. My mom and I are both gluten free and she has celiac disease. They assured us it would be gluten free but then another person we hadn’t spoken to served her another person at our tables pizza which was very similar to what she had ordered but not gf. She began eating it and I felt it looks suspiciously good and stopped her. They explained that the server didn’t know who was supposed to get what, but that is very dangerous. We are hoping her reaction is not too severe. So unfortunate as we were so excited to eat gluten free in Italy and only a few days into our trip she gets glutened for the first time in many many years.

Pizza was lovely, like the other reviews say it’s a very soft/doughy base. It might be too soft for some people’s taste but I really enjoyed it, it tasted really fresh and there’s so many options to choose from. I was surprised some of the reviews didn’t have great experiences with staff, they were very friendly with us. You do have to wait around a bit to get the bill, but I’ve found that’s the case in a lot of restaurants in Naples/Amalfi so it didn’t bother us. Would definitely recommend.
So mixed feelings here……..the pizza was phenomenal, my non-celiac girlfriend said it’s the closest to normal base GF pizza she’s ever had. So thumbs up for the food. However service was sh*t. Staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there or serve us. I asked whether there were tables indoors, response was “go outside”. When we asked for the bill, the server continued walking away and “go inside” was her response. Could be a language barrier crossover, but haven’t had rude experiences like this in Italy so far.
I will agree with the other reviews this restaurant’s aesthetics aren’t very flash but my boyfriend and I loved our food choices. The gluten free pizza dough was so soft, he who is non-coeliac thought the dough was incredible. The seafood was cooked so well too! I would go back for sure!
The area around the restaurant is very dirty, and unfortunately, when I looked inside, I was horrified by how dirty it was. I chose this place based on its good ratings, but I can't believe it received such high reviews. A girl sitting next to me suddenly screamed because a cockroach started running on her ankle. That’s not the end of this devastating experience. The waiter didn't show up for about 15 minutes.Although my review might seem unchronological, I hope it conveys my experience. It was a terrible time waiting for that gluten-free meal. I'm glad I'm not there anymore and wish I could erase this day from my memory. Brrrrr.
The food was mediocre and the service was terrible. We had to wait over thirty minutes for a salad and a gf pizza when the restaurant wasn’t even that busy and the staff wasn’t very friendly. The pizza was very oily and the salad was served with a green tomato, mind you it was a caprese salad. We didn’t finish either of them. I usually try to give positive reviews but there was nothing good I could write about this place. I don’t really recommend it.
I wished to try pizza at Veraci as it has great reviews, we arrived there at 17:00 Naples time and they told it was closed and they open at 19:00. We left as we were hungryyyyy and had a GF pizza at Pizza Baba around 300m far from there in the neighbourhood of the Metro Napoli beautiful station, on via Toledo as well. Delicious, too - but I cannot compare to Veraci’s as I have no clue how Veraci’s would taste.
The pizza was SUPER good. It made me speechless after not eating a proper Neapolitan pizza after my diagnose. There was also deep-fried seafood available, which was also good.
The gf items were clearly marked on the menu.
I went to this restaurant two times during my stay: the first time my pizza was a lot smaller than my partner’s glutened one, but the second time my pizza was also as big as the normal one.
Ordered 2 pizzas the exact same. One gluten free one not. They came out with very different quantities of toppings. Mine had little cheese the other was covered. Mine was full Of pesto the other had very little. Both were slightly undercooked. The gluten free crust was soft and if cooked fully would have been amazing.
We came for lunch right at the start of the 13:00 lunch “rush”. So many GF choices. Had a fried ham and cheese sandwich as an appetizer. Three of us had GF pizza (two magheritas and one peperoni) and one of us had GF bolognese. They were very busy with a line of patrons waiting for seats during our entire visit.
I would fly to Naples just for this gluten free pizza! Do not miss eating pizza here! I was scared to try it because it looked so good I did not believe it could be gluten free! Their is a very good gluten free menu. The atmosphere of this second floor trattoria is that of a fun street food place. The pizza was so amazing we went out of our way on our trip back from Capri to stop here for another pizza!
