Updated: Loved it when they had a dedicated GF oven (one of the first restaurants I went to after diagnosis and gave me hope about eating out). Sadly those days are over for Pizza Libretto. Boo.

Super disappointed to find out they’ve removed gluten free crust from their menu. It was literally the best in the city…

Tips

Celiac

Listed on their reservation system: What to know before you go ADDITIONAL NOTES Please note that as of January 1st, 2020 we will no longer have a dedicated gluten free oven. We had the best intentions of offering a celiac safe environment for our guests but can't safely and securely do so unless we have a completely dedicated gluten-free kitchen. As a result we have decided to no longer dedicate our oven to gluten free as it suggests a level a food allergy safety for Celiac guests that we cannot 100% guarantee.

(Updated) while they still offer gf crust they closed the dedicated oven. So now cross-contact is likely. Sad! ☹

Also a hands down from me. This isn’t just incredible gluten-free pizza it is just pretty amazing oven-fired pizza. Would HIGHLY recommend. King W. is the only celiac-friendly location with a dedicated oven.

Staff very nice and knowledgeable, however they cook the pizza in the same oven they cook regular pizza and I was told they have no celiac dedicated workspace. Fast service and delicious food though!

Sadly, the King Street location will be discontinuing the use of a separate pizza oven for gluten free orders as of January 1st, 2020. Therefore, this will no longer be celiac safe.

Gf pizza was amazing. My 5 yo son with Celiac is used to Udi’s frozen crust and didn’t like the pizza at Pizzeria Libretto, but we would bring him back if we visit Toronto again. It was REAL pizza and he tried it with no negative repercussions.

My five year-old has a wheat allergy. They were able to make his kids’ pizza on their gluten free crust. Per the employee we talked to, the gluten free pizzas at this location are made in dedicated area and in a gluten free oven. The gluten free pizza was really, really good. Also, they have vegan mozzarella if needed.

We got into Toronto around dinner time and after reading reviews we head over to get pizza. It was one of the best pizza restaurants I have ever been to. Not your average GF crust, this was soft yet crispy. Downright delicious. I loved the unique toppings choice. Arugula on my pizza? Yes please! All of the staff we encountered were very nice, especially our server. Since we aren’t from the area she gave us suggestions on what to do during our visit. We plan to head back for more pizza on our last night here.

I ordered two pizzas gluten free and they made a mistake and gave me a pizza with gluten. They apologized a lot!! And I was rewarded with 2 free pizzas and I didnt had to paid the one I ate. That was very kind. So you may ask twice when they bring you the pizza and that problem is not going to happen :)

Wow. I have not had better pizza in a longggg time. I only had a couple hours left in Toronto, and I popped in right as they opened on a Saturday before my flight and they sat me immediately and had a GF pizza ready for me in less than 15 mins. The pizza was amazing, staff is friendly and I’m so glad I made the time to come here. Could not recommend more!

I can’t recommend their King location enough. Incredible service, amazing pizza. They even do this tasty “bread” with the pizza dough. As a starter. We go there regularly and I have never been sick - and I’m very sensitive to cross contamination.

Incredible experience!! They have mastered gluten-free pizza, and this location even has a dedicated wood-fired pizza oven. It is delicious! Many apps and also the dessert gelato are also gluten-feee. They seemed to really know their stuff and kept everything GF separate. Service was wonderful! Highly recommend.

Ok wow this place is awesome.

I am super sensitive celiac so I was a bit scared about eating in a pizzeria at all. So much scary flour around! But my waitress was awesome, ensured me they take cross contamination very seriously. My pizza was brought out separately from my non-gf friend's so they wouldn't touch, and they clearly said, "Here is your GLUTEN FREE pizza" upon arrival so there was no worry about the order being mixed up.

TLDR, best pizza I've had since being diagnosed 12 years ago. Didn't get sick. Service was amazin'. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for, and it's so, so worth it for a place with such diligence about gf. Will definitely be back!

King West location has a dedicated gluten free pizza oven. Delicious and best pizza since diagnosis! Lots of GF choices. Staff were very attentive and went through the whole menu with us to identify each menu item that is gluten free. Our server has a family member with Celiac so they definitely understood. I do wish that they would put the GF pizza on a different type of plate or something, as when they brought out multiple plates of pizza, they all looked the same and I was nervous about that, it would have been very easy to have a mix up with a pizza that was not gluten free.

The King St West location has a specific oven for GF pizza and the pizza is quite good too! (We are Italians!) We went by mistake to the other pizzeria libretto and we the manager knew we were celiac he was so sorry...because the have GF pizza also in the other location but only in king West they have a specific oven in which they can guarantee a dedicated space for GF pizza...and the manager offered to pay us a taxy and send us to the king West pizzeria! Very honest!

Amazing gluten free pizza. It’s been years since I’ve had an authentic pizza cooked in a wood burning oven. It was delicious. The rest of my group also enjoyed their regular pizza. My cousin from Italy was very impressed how good it was. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Dedicated GF oven. Staff was sooooo great about knowing which ingredients had gluten and had options to replace. They even brought out the GF pizza separate and clearly stated it was GF. Which is good to know cause the pizza is so good you’d totally think it had gluten in it! Definitely go, and then go again, it’s that good!

Unreal, amazing atmosphere, servers are very knowledgeable about cross contamination. FYI lunch special is 16 bucks for 3 item lunch, Choice of 2 salads, a gluten free pizza which is roughly medium size (add 4 bucks for gluten free) and he pizza is ridiculously good. And then gelato for desert. Will be going back 100 percent

Myself (Celiac) and another friend of mine (also Celiac) ate here for a late lunch on 2018/05/13. I got the gluten free pizza with sausage and tomoto sauce, he got the daily special, some sort of gluten free pizza with basil sauce.

We both got sick.
