I had pupusas here and felt pretty safe. I wasn’t sure how knowledgeable the staff was about other items, and whether they had gluten/could have traces. But for the pupusas I felt pretty assured cross contamination could be avoided, and I did not get sick

The food was delicious but stick to the pupusas. If you don’t, you may end up sick the way I did the last two times. I suspect cross contamination. There is no separate fryer for things like sweet plantains.

The pupusas as this place are amazing. I ate here twice in a short visit and still dream about these! I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

The reviews are correct!! I wasn’t sure what a pupusas was but I’m glad I tried it!! I had the pork and cheese one and wish I had room for more!! Amazing!

I'm so happy we decided to try this place. There is a separate gluten free menu, they asked if I had any other allergies, and my meal was delicious. It's a little out of the way for me to do regularly, but I will definitely be back and bringing friends.
Delicious! Didn't get sick. Knowledgeable staff. Also amazing with my toddler. :) Had a squash flower pupusa, a chicken tamale, and plantains at lunch. Ordered more to take home!

I always mention my serious gluten and dairy allergy... then I get the tropical salad! Oh my goodness... it has papaya and mango, coconut and cashews, and an amazing cilantro dressing. I ask for advacado added on the side.
It is optional to have it with shrimp (i ask them to cook it extra well-done for my taste). I also like their yucca with steamed or fried pork (both ways are yummy.) Sometimes we get the platano with refried beans (and dairy free - ask for no crema). Delish!

The waitstaff was very accommodating and answered all of my questions. My waiter understood what celiac meant and gave me suggestions of what would be safe to eat. I had the pollo asado and tamales with beans and rice. Food wasn’t amazing but I felt safe eating here & had no reaction.

We went on a VERY busy Friday night ... so we took the waiter's advice on what to eat as that was the only way they could assure no cross-contamination due to how busy they were. We had a Tropical salad, avocado salad, steamed yucca and steamed corn tamales. Everything was delicious! We are also DF and latex free. We did not get sick and we're super sensitive to cross-contamination. Highly recommend this place but I'd suggest going when it's not super busy so you can try more things but they 100% accommodated us and everything was delicious!

They have a huge gf menu, and super yummy food! Try the pupusas revueltas. I'm a sensitive celiac, and had no reaction from this place. Very caring and educated staff.

Food was amazing and I experienced no issues. I've been here twice now when I've had to go to Berkley on trips and I was fine both times. Food was delicious and service was great! The black and refried beans and corn tortillas were delicious!
Servers were knowledgable and the options were good. I had a great time, especially thanks to the Sangria. I will definitely go back!
Super-tasty and inexpensive food in an establishment that offers a gluten-free menu. I note my review so far is limited to the pupusas with black beans & cheese.

Separate gluten free menu. Service was wonderful and food was amazing. Plenty of options for dairy free, as well. Definitely worth a try!
Has a gluten free menu and food was tasty. I felt a little funny the next day, but that could have been from the dairy since the food was pretty heavy with cheese. Worth a try.
