Amazing crust! And, one of the people behind the counter has Celiac, so I talked through with him what I needed. No separate oven, but they do have separate sauce to put on and toppings are in a separate area from the dough. My Aloha Reef Shark pizza was made on parchment paper to reduce cross contact. The pizza was so tasty I ate almost the whole 10 inch pizza in one sitting. This will definitely go on our list of safe places to eat on the Cape.
I just tried this place for lunch and the reviews were absolutely correct about the crust! It’s definitely one of the better pizza crusts I’ve had and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the pizza. The menu reads like it’s actually made with gluten free dough rather than a premade crust, and with the way the crust of the pizza rose, I actually believe it. I called before ordering to confirm there were procedures in place for a gluten free order. The pizza is cooked in the same oven, but there is a separate tray for the gluten free pizzas. That said, they do use the same toppings for the regular pizza and the gluten free pizza. They said the only toppings containing gluten on the line are meatballs and breaded chicken. There is definitely a risk there, but I felt like based on the reviews and the way the information was relayed over the phone, it was minimal. I ordered online after I made the call and added a note asking them to change their gloves and ensure it was made on a clean pan. We picked up the pizza without a problem (beware of the parking though, the lot is kind of a mess) and as I said above, were quite impressed with how the pizza tasted. I did not get sick and would definitely order from here again!
