We had a waiter that also has celiac disease. He was very knowledgeable about the menu items and also about what my child with celiac disease would like the most. They also have a separate menu that points out all allergens present in the dishes. When he delivered the food to the table he made sure to point out any items that were unsafe to share with her. My only complaint is that they delivered the foods at different times and even forgot one item that didn’t come until we were all too full to eat it. For my kids they delivered their sticky rice, but their chicken didn’t come until later when, of course, they wanted more sticky rice to eat with the chicken. And their food is quite expensive so even adding more rice adds up. Overall, Pok Pok is tasty and adventurous but costly so I’d suggest saving it for a special occasion. My daughter with celiac disease did not get ill after eating it though so we count that as a win.

Food is amazing!! Tried many dishes but the catfish, the whole chicken and the yam khanun were the best. The wings are great but not gluten free.
They made an allergen menu that clearly lists all the allergens in their menu items. I got the pork shoulder stew and it was amazing! I was bummed to not get to try the wings (bc they look delicious!)... but I’m use to it. I will definitely return for that pork shoulder dish.
Pok Pok is an iconic Portland restaurant. They have a menu that lists all allergens including gluten and most dishes are GF. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful and offered that the curry soup could be made GF with rice noodles.

They have a very informative menu that notes all potential allergens (gluten, dairy, peanuts, shellfish) HOWEVER when I notified the host that I was gluten free and needed that menu, she asked me how severe it was and then straight up “recommended I do not eat here”. I was shocked. Ended up getting the pork shoulder and rice which was delicious (and one of the only things on the menu not crazy spicy with Thai chilies) but I felt like a huge inconvenience to the staff. My friends enjoyed their food but overall very disappointing from the gluten free perspective.

On Thursday at 5:30 there was no waiting. Rapid service, great review of the items on menu by the waitress and a gluten free menu. I had the pork shoulder with coconut rice which was fantastic. The 3 others in the group shared 4 other dishes and loved them all. Most of the items on the menu can be made gluten free so there are lots of options. The full bar did help.
