So good! I’ve been 3 times and haven’t had any issue... definitely recommend!
This place is awesome! Think of it like Hawaiian Chipotle. Start with rice or lettuce base, add your protein (sashimi, chicken, tofu, etc), add veggies and other toppings. They have a list of which of the sauces you can have, including Siracha, Wasabi aioli, and spicy mayo. Skip the seaweed salad, as it has (wheat-brewed) soy sauce.
Pokemoto serves Hawaiian rice bowls. The menu/options are simple, but that makes ensuring GF is simpler too. They were happy to change gloves when I requested it. The base of the bowl is brown or white rice. You then choose proteins and mix-ins. Most proteins were not seasoned or saucy, but I only asked about the chicken since that was what I was ordering. Along with the protein you have a variety of mix-ins to add, including fruit like mango and pineapple as well as options like cucumber and corn.
Then a sauce is picked. The only downside is that this location only had two GF sauce options, and both were spicy. My celiac is a toddler, but we tried the spicy mayo and it wasn't too bad and she seemed to not be bothered by the spice. After our meal, I talked to the lady who seemed to be in charge, if she wasn't in charge, she was very knowledgeable. She said they make all their sauces in-house, and even mentioned before I said something about the only gf options being spicy. I told her about soy sauce substitutes like coconut aminos and GF soy sauce. She was not aware of that and found it interesting. So hopefully in the future there will be more GF sauce options!
Back to the food! The protein, mix-ins, and sauce were mixed together (with a disposable spoon!) and put on the rice. The last station was "crunch" where you could add a little texture to your bowl. There were a several gf options, but again, I didn't ask about all of them.
We will be back!

I ordered a build your own Poké bowl. The toppings and sauces were marked if they were GF. They were knowledgeable about which toppings were GF and I didn't see very much cross contamination. The bowl is made in front of you as you go down the line.

Server was knowledgeable and checked the gluten free list that they have to double check each item. She also checked with one of the chefs about an item to make sure it was safe. Overall I felt comfortable eating there.
