Review of Polvo's

I called in early in the day at an off time to ask some questions, the initial person wasn’t able to answer and handed me off to a different staff member. They were able to point out dishes that were safe but not able to answer preparation questions.

At the table later I asked my server who stated she didn’t have much education on allergies. She listed some dishes, I tried the chips and queso along with sharing some nachos and did not get sick. Overall, it ended up alright- but it was hard to know based off service. Our server did forget a couple items and overall our service was just alright. Lots of other safe places downtown and honestly if you’re looking for this kind of food I would choose Matt’s El Rancho instead.
