Each menu addressing allergies lists different stuff as GF. They let you go through buffet first with allergies, but know that’s your one shot because the GF and gluten stuff totally gets contaminated as it’s all next to each other. They will bring you plain GF rice. Best bet for main meal is the GF rice with the Poke and grilled fish. The luau pig got cross contaminated with the fried skin they give out with the same tongs. Great fruit and GF dessert selection. The piña coladas are out of this world

My mother and I ate at the buffet, and it was great. We both have celiac disease and become symptomatic fairly immediately. We paid extra for the ambassador package so we got to go up to the buffet table first. That may be worth it for some. Each dish was clearly labeled if it was gluten free and had its own ladle so cross contamination in theory shouldn’t happen.

They had an old menu out on the table with only 3 gf items but after I asked they gave me the new menu and talked me through the food line up. Very few off limit items. I got to ha e a full plate with all the different choices. The only non gf items were placed at the end to reduce cross contamination. They hand delivered my special gf dessert ! Amazing !

This was a bad buffet with limited GF options, especially for vegetarians. Most, but not all, of the food is clearly marked but GF food is next to regular food so cross contamination is likely. I did get a reaction although I’m not sure from what since I stuck to their “safe” list. The only reason to come here is the performances, which are worth the trip.

We ate at the Island Buffet. The food is just okay. I told one of the guys behind the buffet line that we need gluten free. He had a laminated list that I used to help my daughter figure out what to eat. She could have the beef, fish and pork. She is 9 years old and really was happy with just having mashed potatoes and gravy. There was one dessert she could have. It was a little cup of something like coconut pudding. I liked it but it is the texture of flan. So she wasn’t inclined to try it. When we bought our tickets the girl at the counter gave us a GF list. See photo. Their website also has the menus on it. The GF list doesn’t match up exactly with the online menus but is pretty close. I would say go here for other reasons than the food. But rest assure you will be able to find GF food here to eat. My daughter is highly sensitive and did not get sick. I gave it four stars since it is a buffet (could be some cc you just have to use your best judgement).
The GF list from the server is slightly different from the photo I attached. I went off the laminated list from the server which included gravy. Also the beef vegetable soup looks more like seaweed soup. My daughter liked it but just want to manage your expectations on that item.
After reviewing the menus for a ton of luau’s, we chose this due to the many GF options available. Besides the fact that everyone was so nice and helpful, I mean everyone!! All in all the food was pretty good. Everything was clearly marked at the buffet and other than cross contamination possibilities, it was pretty safe. Prior to the park opening, we had a quick lunch at a Mexican truck inside the marketplace which was pretty good too. The lady there confirmed that they don’t use any Gluten ingredients in their food prep so that was an easy choice. I didn’t have any reactions!

I am super sensitive and get a migraine within 30 minutes of minute contamination. I almost always get sick at resterants. I ate at Prime rib dinning buffet but only ate prime rib , ah jus, kauluah pork, horseradish, crab legs, butter, macadamia nut ice cream with chocolate syrup (still in bottle so I checked label I suggest you do as well) I also got hawaian delight (sherbert and fruit cocktail) and pineapple smoothie sold at all the shows. There were other options labeled gluten free I did Not get, including 2 desserts, sitting right next to gluten cake. There was a fruit and salad bar I didn't look at. And banana ice cream I'm sure would b safe.
Yes
I did the Ali’i buffet. Since it was a buffet, cross contamination is possible so try to go a little early before it gets messed up. The only gf meat was the Kalua pork. For sides they had vegetables, salad bar, and some fruit. They had this coconut jello stuff that was gluten free. The food was ok, but I think you go to the Polynesian cultural center for the experience and not the food.
Not Gluten Friendly at all. Everything was buffet style and I saw spoons being mixed between dishes. The food was average at best. Most of the meat had teriyaki sauce on it. I ended up eating white rice, salad with no dressing, and risked white fish even though it had spices on it. Definitely not worth the money. If you like that kind of thing, go for the show not the food.

We love the PCC and had high hopes for the luau buffet as the website said that every buffet had gluten free options. Our waitress obtained an allergen binder, but couldn't decipher which items were actually gf. After some discussion we determined what the charts were telling us. Our options were mainly green salad, pork and white rice. The only gf dessert "available" wasn't actually available. We went for the layered jello dessert (since jello is usually gf) and probably shouldn't have. My son and I both got sick. Love everything about the PCC, but was disappointed with our meal.
Had tickets for the Alii Luau at the PCC. Despite the total lack of clear communication (no answer to emails, or direction for who to talk to at the luau), I was happy to see most of the buffet was gluten free. the buffet had separate containers for croutons (not on the salad) and the breads were outside the covered section of the counter. Desserts were on a separate table altogether. I would say the chances of cross contamination are fairly low. manage your own risk. I had no reaction. I had rice, sweet potato, pork, fish & pineapple.
