I love Pomodoros. They do not have a GF Menu. Most waiters are aware of GF. They have a GF pizza that is delicious. If you go to have a regular dinner you can ask for GF bread. They use the pizza crust as bread. My husband likes it better than the regular bread. Many of their plates can be made GF. They even have a GF desert.
I've ate here off and on for years. Always really good. They have gluten free penne available.
I have no idea how this place got good reviews or why it's said to be celiac friendly. Waitress was super nice, but had no clue about gf. Told us everything could be make gf, only by changing the pasta for gf. Even highly recommended their gf pizza, which we reluctantly ordered following her advise. Thank goodness for my food tester!!! Every single thing we ordered and told was "carefully" made gf, had gluten. Even dishes with no pasta. Nothing is safe in this place. NOT celiac friendly. Manager was kind enough to not charge for the food we sent back, and gave us courtesy wine, but we left the place hungrier than we walked in.
They now carry HEB gluten free pasta and will substitute it for most of their pasta dishes. They will also create any of their pizzas on a bed of the pasta in a deep dish. One of our favorites.
