Don’t even think to go if you are celiac!!! I went there and made quite clear that i am a symptomatic celiac and asked what is gf and all the cross contamination stuff…In greek!!no misunderstanding!!they confirmed that everything is gf except quesadillas but they didn’t have that day!!I ate the tacos and when i get there to pay, i saw them baking quesadillasat the same pan as gf tacos…and when i asked for explanations they told me that i am right and it’s not gf at all… No matter what i have already eaten the tacos and now i have symptoms….Totally unprofessional…they try to make extra pennies in our health 🥵🥵🥵
The food was amazing. The tacos were very good, my wife loved their guacamole as well. I would strongly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat for a good price! Friendly staff.
Loved it! Everything is gluten free. Staff were knowledgeable about gluten allergies and they made sure I had a great time. The owner told me that the frier where they make the tacos is contaminated because they just added wheat flour tortillas and they are made in the same place. He was very accommodating and found a way to cook my tacos without cross contamination.

Amazing Taquería in the Monastiraki quarter!! The tacos were out of this world. The owner was nice and confirmed that although the menu lists a couple of gluten* items they do not work them at this time to avoid cross-contamination.
We're eating here again when we go back to Athens.

After traveling in Europe for several months, my celiac daughter had a craving for Mexican food. Poncho's tacos more than satisfied her cravings offering made from scratch tacos, tortillas, sauces and sides with ingredients that are naturally gluten free. It was very good and inexpensive for Athens.
We talked to both the cook one day and the owner the next. We found out that they import corn to make their own authentic Mexican tortillas which are GF. The shop is set up for both take out and dine in. They have a few tables and a bar if you want to sit for a quick meal. We ate here twice during our visit to Athens. The food was excellent and a real value!
So good! The restaurant is dedicated gluten free and everything was absolutely amazing. The owner is from Mexico, so the food is authentic.

Super delicious Chicken tacos! Corn tortillas felt and tasted artisan and neighborhood was cute! What a gem of a dining spot in Athens.
I went there for lunch and was absolutely blown away! Best meal I have had on my trip so far. Definitely going back for dinner. Everything is gluten free so no need to worry about cross contamination. I had 2 pork tacos and 1 beef taco.

Simply the real deal! The secret of their success lies in simplicity! Authentic Mexican food and experience, tacos and huarache that are tasteful, awesome guacamole! The whole menu is gluten free and there is a vegan option! Definitely recommend this one !
Don’t miss this place!! So yummy, Pancho himself owns the place and is so kind and excited to share his tacos. I had al pastor tacos and they were delicious and had no reaction. Went back our second night for dinner, and same positive experience. Wish I could bring panchos home to the US with me :)

Authentic, cheap, and delicious tacos! No wheat flour in anything they prepare, and everything is gluten free. Not only one of the safest GF options in central Athens, but also some of the most delicious tacos I've had anywhere. (And the prices can't be beat--this is one of the only GF options that's at all cheaper than sitting down for a 15€+ meal, with much higher cross-contamination risks.) These guys are great, can't recommend them enough!
