The fish and chips were amazing and entirely gluten free. The chips came with a paprika type salt which unfortunately I reacted to. It seems to be a lot of places in Canada have this coating on the chips which did make it more difficult for me to find suitable fast food places.

Excellent fish and chips on Grandville island with some decent drink option as well. Good for ordering at the booth and sitting down in the sun. For the price I would like some more fries and coleslaw though.

Everything can be made GF. Very accommodating just let them know you’re GF and they will swap out for a GF bun. Great scenery, right on the wharf. The Puff creams can also be made just without the pastry and they are delicious

Confirmed they have a GF shepherds pie! It’s around $15 too. Yummy

We went there for my anniversary dinner, having no idea that there was GF fish & chip. I hadn’t had fish & chip at a restaurant in years and I was SO excited! It surpassed my expectations, and the staff were wonderful.

Dedicated GF fryer makes their fish & chips absolute winners! Staff was knowledgeable re: cross contamination. Fries were lovely and the fish was great. Will definitely be back!

Just outside the Granville Island public market, the owner is celiac so they understand cross contamination. Items on the menu are identified with a GF note. I had to wait quite a long time for my take out because something in the kitchen broke, but other than that, it was a really good experience!

I haven’t had fish and chips since I found out I was celiac and was super impressed with popina’s rendition! Knowledge staff, dedicated gluten free fryers, crispy breading and tender cod… what more could you ask for? They also have some of the best fries I’ve ever had. No gluten free beer to accompany the meal which is a bummer but other than that no complaints. My gluten eating lunch companion also really enjoyed this place!

Awesome food. Almost everything can be made GF including fries, fish and chips, etc. They have GF buns. Food is very tasty. It’s right by the little ferry stop, behind the public market. Highly recommended.
