Review of PopoJito Med-Mex Kitchen

This is a brand-new restaurant in Scarsdale Village that is entirely gluten free. It is a bit of a Mexican / middle Eastern fusion. While the food was good, it is not the Tex-Mex that is familiar to most Americans and my family liked some items more than others. Between us, we had the octopus fajitas, nachos, gringo beef tacos, braised beef tacos, fried oyster, shrimp and lime chicken tacos; chicken tenders and churros. Portions were small but inexpensive, so it's fine to get more. Some of the food was blander than we expected and the restaurant hasn't worked out its supply kinks yet. Also the chocolate dipping sauce for the churros was... odd, at best. Anyway, we will go back - totally safe for the celiac - and food was decent enough that we will keep trying. Give it a shot; we need to support these kinds of places!
