¿Por Qué No?

I usually order the Bryan's bowl, I've never had a reaction. I was reassured by the staff that what I was ordering, I'm a sensitive Celiac and love the food I eat here.

Friendly when I mentioned having a gluten allergy. The cashier said there was no gluten in my order (Por que no Plate), but that they would still mark it as an allergy for the cooks to know, and that the carnitas I ordered are kept separate (perhaps from a possible cross contaminant, not sure why it matters, but glad they have a system). It was $17 + $12 drink. Not the cheapest, but large and actually quite delish.

Great food. Just watch your proteins carefully. They do a better job now communicating which are cooked on the flat top (not safe). Barbacoa and Al pastor are excellent.

Stopped here on my only night in Portland and I wish I had stayed long enough to go back for seconds. I had the carnitas taco, chips, guac/salsa, and the bean and rice bowl. All delicious and I didn’t get sick after.

Absolutely delicious but not safe for celiacs! Staff said that there is definitely risk for cross contamination on the grill and only half of the tacos on the menu are gluten free.

The BEST tacos I’ve ever had. I have very sensitive celiac and it’s very scary for me to eat out anywhere. The staff was very accommodating and was super helpful with all of our questions. They made special notes so they used different cookware in the kitchen. I will absolutely be going again!

Very pleased with the meal-enjoyed a pomegranate margarita, chips and salsa, and two tacos. I’m a sensitive celiac and did fine afterwards. Tacos were great with their sauces!

It's been over 12 hours since we ate here so i can safely say this place is safe as well as e extremely delicious. i love the chips and salsa and guacamole. the kind lady workung suggested pulled pork type meats for my corn tacos. these are made seperately and not cross contaminated on the grill. i had 2 different tacos and extea guac and extra sour cream. amazing.

Love this place! I think there's only one item that's not gf. Very popular place, as there is always a lone lol. chicken tacos are the best, sauces are awesome and a great little environment!
