All the deep fry is gluten free. The only thing with gluten in the menu is beer. Wonderful fish and chips. Shrimp fry. Fries were great. Cute fish market. Outdoor seating

All food is gluten free except malt vinegar packets that you have to ask for. Beer in cans have gluten. The fish and chips are delicious. Tarter sauce, cocktail sauce, in fact all sauces and ketchup packets are gluten free. It’s Celiac Safe, no need to worry about cross contamination. I do think they carry a regular cookie for sale but I believe it’s sealed. Best fish and chips by far. No inside seating. It’s a window where you order your food.

Very good fish. They seem very careful about gluten. Nothing ever in the fryer and only the malt vinegar packets (which they only give out by request) and beer have any gluten. My daughter who has celiac has eaten here several times without any problem. Always ask, of course, but I definitely plan to go back again

Delicious gluten free batter in dedicated fryers. Love their fries, too. They have particularly good starter sauce. Halibut and/or shrimp are recommended. One of my staples whenever I visit Portland.

I was so excited to eat here 2 days ago after reading the recent reviews, and while the food was delicious and the person at the window assured us everything but the malt vinegar packets and the canned beer were gluten free, my brother-in-law and I both got sick. We both oredered the cod fish and chips, and had the tartar sauce and the ketchup packets so there's something in one of those products that isn't safe.

Halibut Fish and Chips were excellent. Dedicated fryer (nothing on the menu has gluten except for their beer*).
*They used to have items with gluten on their menu. They purposefully changed their menu to be completely gluten free. Except for the beer, which is sold in cans.

The best fish and chips!! All their batter is GF. Supposedly now they don’t sell crab cakes anymore the whole place is GF. So good, never gotten sick as a fairly sensitive celiac

By the way they answered my questions I wouldn't trust them. Basically tried to warn me off when I listed all my allergies (more than just wheat)

Great fish and chips made with gluten free batter. Choose from cod, halibut, salmon, lingcod, rockfish, shrimp, and oysters. They also carry beer and cider. Really tasty. I have eaten here several times and never had a problem.
I used to LOVE eating here but then they went and added gluten-containing crab cakes to their menu. It’s a small kitchen, I don’t see how they can keep it safe anymore. Serious bummer :-( Will have to stick with Hawthorne Fish House.

They have a sign stating that all menu items are gluten and dairy free. My celiac eats here with no problems. And the fish and chips are delicious.
Yes
They have a Fish and Chips window on 44th and all of the menu items are gluten free. They don't advertise that part! The fish and chips are delicious!!
