Happy to have found this place. As a sensitive celiac, I don’t feel comfortable ordering the sandwiches but I’ve been coming here multiple times for the warm borscht soup which is INCREDIBLE. Healthy and fresh veggies and flavor, and not doused in unhealthy oils/fats - adjectives/descriptions which I can not otherwise use for food in Knoxville/Tennessee. I’m a New Yorker (where healthy food is much easier to find) and this is one of the best soups I’ve had. Trying their vitamin salad and will come back for the bigger salad (healthy and high quality salads also completely impossible to find anywhere else in this town, at least not for someone with my dietary restrictions). This is a super cute, cheery ambiance-d cafe opened til 3 pm every day. A Ukrainian - Jewish deli that reminds me of New York. Gf buns available made in house , in the same space and ovens as a very gluten-heavy kitchen . I’d talk to them about it if you’re sensitive and ask questions to glean if you’re safe eating the buns. I will keep coming back for the soup though!
